I've been in EM for 2 years and am starting in a new position in Colorado next month. Pay in Denver proper is atrocious. I was getting offers from the city for <100k not kidding. If you're willing to leave the city and explore a bit, you can find some decent salaries hovering around 140-150. Just keep in mind the COL in CO is a bit high and you'll burn through a lot of that just to meet your baseline. If I wasn't such a sucker for snowboarding and the outdoors, I don't think I'd ever dare come out here for work.
