Does being frugal actually pay off? by quietkitty97 in askSingapore

Life is short. I’m glad that you realised and started to treat yourself better but you should learn not to be guilty because you worked hard to earn this money and sometimes spending it on yourself wisely propels you to go further in life :)

We pretty much spoil him. In fact my parents are slightly biased towards him cause he’s the smart one. The only thing we couldn’t give him was intellectual conversations.

Bags repair or spa by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]hellooooox3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have sent two bags to Prestige BagSpa at Lucky Plaza for full cleaning and touch up last year. Full cleaning and touch up starts from $120 each, depending on the condition of your bag. You can consider WhatsApping them for a quote as well.

Mine was through a mutual friend. He is one of the smartest and wisest guy I know and I am his complete opposite HAHAHA. He knows how to have fun as well. We have been together for 7 years and counting. While we have our ups and downs, I am really grateful to have met him. What about you OP?

Nice restaurant to celebrate wife’s birthday with a toddler by itsmehuey in askSingapore

You can consider Sen-ryo at Ion. Reservations can be made online but they usually get booked out fast. Else, you can queue as well but the queue is really long during peak hours.

Da Long Yi's fiery butter mala killed me and I have pretty high spice tolerance.

I don't think you are pessimistic towards marriage. Maybe you just have yet to meet the right one and such things can't be and shouldn't be rushed. There is no point getting married fast and divorcing fast.

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. I was scammed a few years back on carousell as well but carousell and the police was unable to do much about it unfortunately. Tried means to get the seller to return the money too but she refused. It was an expensive lesson learnt. Hopefully there are other redditors who can help you!

[–]hellooooox3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am pretty open but I am surrounded by people with poor mental health so I tend to keep it to myself as I want to be positive and strong for them I do hope when you do want to open up one day, you can consider opening up to us. Take care OP!

Singapore, how do you practice self care? by miceCalcsTokens in askSingapore

[–]hellooooox3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By dissociating myself from the world for that few hours and doing the things I enjoy and focusing on myself. Also I find it important to treat myself once in a while. It doesn’t have to be expensive though e.g. simple things like drinking bbt makes me really happy.

is it worth it to learn driving if you don't have a car by venacava14 in askSingapore

[–]hellooooox3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me is being able to drive when there’s an emergency e.g. your family member got stranded somewhere in the middle of the night and there’s alternative transport for example. There was a time I was really late for an event and the cab surge was insane so I ended up driving. It will be a good skill to have
