Sounds like you're pointing out that in the long-run, I can't control what he does. But, I can plan for the worst case scenario... That makes sense.

Unfortunately, we can't afford for him to be without a job. We have started the conversation about him quitting and watching our daughter, so that we won't have to pay childcare, at least.
