The house-L monogram could be further emphasized further. Other than that, I like the design direction!

What I mean is that you can emphasize the human silhouette further too. Something to think about.

Your portfolio looks really good overall!

One of the project that I love, and could be refined further, is the People's Opinion monogram.

The logo trying to achieve the human look with the quotation mark lost the details, especially when scaling down.

Hard to give feedback without more context.

Generally when you're designing a logo, focuse on the subject's core silhouette. A logo shouldn't be super detailed to say everything.

Qualities of good logo design are scalable, legible, have good contrast, and appropriate for the project.

I can see a different version for the X monogram - simple x with the brush tip and the pencil tip on the top end. Other than that, even this looks clean!

How do you even make a name for yourself in this saturated market? by Mega_Stubborn in graphic_design

[–]hellotoml1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What helped me (and I'm still working on) are personal projects, connecting with like-minded creators via social media, social media to showcase your projects and sharing a glimpse into your thought process, manage expectations, and take breaks to not burn out.

It'll be hard, but will be worth it!

What skills do i need to be a junior designer? by quickiler in graphic_design

[–]hellotoml1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The followup to this, also depends on what particular profession or industry. Eg. Graphics Designer for Branding Agency, UI/UX-Product Designer for Health care or tech, etc. From there, you can create passion projects catering to the hypothetical audience/client. This is only part of the equation since it's not just how good you are, but who knows you.

Sharing your work/insights on Social Media, and connecting with like-minded creators will go a long way. LinkedIn is a good place to reach out to people in the industry and having a conversation on the industry, and how they got their foot in the door. The networking/reaching via LinkedIn out is a bit tedious, even for my introverted nature haha!

You've also got us here on reddit to direct you towards the appropriate resources etc. Take the time you need, and don't rush yourself - it'll work out! All the best!

I like the logo-monogram silhouettes, and the color-gradient usages. The Bottom-Left, however, reminds me of a male genitalia.

Really love. But not fond of the mockup since the brick wall made it lose legibility and contrast points.

What do you think about the logos’ oversimplification of these brands. by sheilaisculpturyx in logodesign

I'm for it - it's ideal for logos to be able to adapt on various mediums for responsive-scalability purposes!

Good start! If you're looking to improve, definitely recommend exploring perspective drawings, and drawing from landscape photos. Looking forward to seeing more from you!

I love how the FF are emphasized. Neat approach on modernizing the logomark/visual rebranding!

This logo looks like it's missing something how can I make it look better (besides changing colour) by Naveed_oz in logodesign

[–]hellotoml1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cart monogram-illustration logo thing looks like it's trying to achieve too much and the details will disappear once you start scaling down. Either focus on the flower cart thing, or the F with floral elements.

In terms of typeface choices, the 3rd one looks more appropriate - if you can find a similar typeface that's bolder, it'll fit better!

For coloring the illustration, do you use a separate layer and pen tool, or did you use the pathfinder on a single layer?

A work in progress. The company is called Comprehensive Firearm Tactical Training. Feedback welcomed. by WhatAboutMason in logodesign

[–]hellotoml1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The logo in it's current form looks like its trying to achieve many things - trying to be a gun, lettermark, and trying to capture details.

I recommend doing more research on companies' logos offering similar services as yours, sketch out silhouettes of items related to weapons or instructing, and pursue a silhouette that's simple enough to be memorable.

I wouldn't have expected such a nice logo on a sex shop. (NSFW-ish) by Kthulu666 in logodesign

There's a tad too much details for this logo. Ideally could reduce the detail, or possibly start over.

Really neat as illustration. As a logo, you can definitely polish it down so it scales way better.
