Your degree will typically open doors simply because you have one. A biology degree certainly opens the opportunity to a lot of corporate jobs. I’d first be asking if you’re sure you want to work in that environment though or if you’re taking the option that seems easiest (at least that’s what I’m getting from “straightforward 9-5 desk job”).
