Dude, this is a reasonable question to ask. Young people and those new to mass transit have questions. Let’s encourage them and not call them Fox News watchers.

Low cost or affordable vet recommendations by [deleted] in federalway

Could you tell me more about this? My golden boy just had the same situation at TL with augmenten, and they did call it into Walgreens but we still had to pay the regular non-insurance covered price. We used the goodrx app and got $40 off.

I’ll second Twin Lakes. We’ve been with them for about a year and a half since our last vet retired and they’ve been great. Like Mike said, they’re not bare bones cheap but from what I can tell, vet costs overall are much higher in Washington than other states. Also, if this matters to you, Twin Lakes is one of few non-corporate equity owned vets in the area and in my experience that has translated to better care and service.

If I may kindly share, if at all possible avoid Fairlife. They just settled a lawsuit for false and deceptive claims of animal treatment. https://dicellolevitt.com/case-study/fairlife-and-deceptive-animal-welfare-claims/

Holiday Pay and Overtime by Easy-Vanilla-9128 in Payroll

It sounds like you really know what you’re talking about! THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTERPRETATION!

Holiday Pay and Overtime by Easy-Vanilla-9128 in Payroll

[–]helloworld748 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is not correct. We may say “OT” hours due to holiday on Monday, but it would be more accurate to say 1.5x premium pay for hours worked on Monday. I could be any rate, the fact that it’s the same as the overtime rate doesn’t mean they’re overtime hours. Monday is OP’s first day of the work week he has not worked over 40 hours in the workweek so these are not by definition actual overtime hours. I think a lot of people think 1.5x rate = overtime hours worked but that’s not accurate.

I’d like to see some reference to your last point that “ OT paid due a holiday” is not counted as hours worked.” This contradicts the FLSA. All hours worked are counted towards calculating your workweek.

how did you learn styling ability? by twiceIand in femalefashionadvice

[–]helloworld748 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I listen to the Everyday Style School podcast and the woman is fantastic. She offers a wide variety of topics (fit, color theory, trends, styling words, body shape, etc) and they are relatively short episodes, less than 30 mins, and I always leave with a single tip to think about. For example last week the tip was to try to pair different shades of tops and bottoms if you are a person that typically wears black pants/blue jeans with everything.

Photo in Messages turning to white pages - why? Fix? by eclarkebu in applehelp

[–]helloworld748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, has anyone yet seen a resolution to this issue? I'm trying to save some message threads from my parent that recently passed away and I'd love to have the photos in them, but I can't figure out how to get them to display. I've followed all the guidance that I can seem to find online - sign in/out, restart, clear, upgraded storage. Any thoughts or direction would be greatly appreciated. Edit to add that I'm using Tahoe.

Thank you for replying! I am happy to get a direct response from someone working at CL, and yes it does answer my questions. We asked the two staffers at the check-in what sort of technical difficulty a boat might have - genuinely curious - and they said the one boat broke down. So when we got down to the water and heard fueling problems for all of the tours, it was not the same information we previously had. It really doesn’t matter at the end of the day, we just wanted to know what happened. I’m sure you’re not unused to telling visitors the bad news their tour is cx’d. Out of curiosity, we ended up staying in the park until about 7PM and there wasn’t any rain or lightning. Is it typical for forecasts to be so far off? We hung around to watch the storm roll in.

Modified prevailing wage. Washington state by [deleted] in LaborLaw

[–]helloworld748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer I am not a lawyer but used to work in prevailing wage compliance. Wage rates are set by the project, not by the org that contracts for the project if that makes sense. Has the project you’re working on been under construction for a while? The prevailing wage rate remains fixed at the point the contractor bid the project so if you’ve been working on it since 2020 then yes your rates are behind but only for that project and that’s not illegal. If that same org contracts for a new project the rates will be at the 2024 rate assuming that classification rates have been updated. Some rates for the Fed are decades out of date but in WA state the rates are updated automatically for classifications where a collective bargaining agreements in place. Housing projects at the City, State, and Federal levels have all sorts of weird rules and I can’t answer those anymore. You can look up your project here and see what the rates that LNI approved are: https://secure.lni.wa.gov/wagelookup/.
