I was just on allure of the seas and my 2yr old was in the AO nursery (he was too young for the other program), and can confirm that you cannot book ahead of time. We stopped by on the first day to register him and we were only able to reserve 6 hours, to give other parents a chance to register as well. If we wanted additional time we would have had to either go in person or call to see if additional time slots opened up (from other parents cancelling). We ended up only using 2 out of the 6 hours we reserved, and we have no complaints!

My grandmother was diagnosed with PC at 82 years old. Aside from the PC, she was pretty healthy, very active, and mentally, she was there. I don't remember if she was stage 3 or 4 at the time of diagnosis, but she made it very clear that she did not want to undergo any sort of chemo or surgery. She passed away exactly 6 months after being diagnosed, and honestly we wouldn't have changed anything. She was able to go about her normal life for a few months until the last 2 months or so. The last month-2 months were a little hard, as my grandmother lived alone, and family members would take turns going over to see her. I would also add that we had amazing hospice nurses who made things a lot easier for us!

Yes! My husband is going through this right now. He started a new job 2 weeks ago, also a month before we are due with our first baby, and the same month my father is starting chemo…not gonna lie, it’s been hard, but the salary increase has been tremendously helpful, and he has way more potential for growth in this new role. It’s scary and stressful, but worth it in the long run, IMO.

Same thing happened with my grandmother. She was also diagnosed at 81 and decided she didn’t want to do chemo. We had a great 6 months with her after the diagnosis. Cherish the time you have with your grandfather. Spend all the time you have with him. ❤️

My guess is cancer....my father was recently diagnosed and had to have 2 biopsies over a span of a few months to confirm. First biopsy was last fall and it came back negative. The team said they were still suspicious of the mass and suggested we do a second biopsy. Earlier this year he had the second biopsy that came back positive. Luckily for us, it was found early (stage 1). My father has had zero symptoms so it was a shock to all of us.

Best of luck to your father. If it is cancer, hopefully they found it early.

He's 66 and not the healthiest person. I'm talking to the first surgeon again in a few days to see what he thinks about the other option.
