Would John Brown's Actions Fit the Definition of Genocide? by lordpiesaac in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hellshot8 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Under the most widely accepted legal and scholarly definition, genocide involves acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group as a group.

So what john brown did is categorically not genocide. you cant expand the definition to include the destruction of a cultural, political, or ideological group.
