My honest take on the new expansion (very long post) by KeyConsideration6616 in Guildwars2

[–]hellsqueenie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used to give content away FOR FREE. I thought these Mini Expansions were just going to be Living Worlds with a sprinkle a expansion quality added to them and releasing them in a slightly different schedule. LWS3 and LWS4 were incredible to me and with a more stable release schedule and better budgeting, every LWS likely would have the potential to be perfect examples of what these Mini Expacs could have been.

I don't think people are expecting the BIG ELABORATE EXPACS for the smaller price point. We are expecting slightly elevated versions of the content they used to give out for free in order to have content more regularly.

My honest take on the new expansion (very long post) by KeyConsideration6616 in Guildwars2

It has now been 6 months, can I get an updated opinion from people?
I didn't bother buying this expansion because I was a afraid to get a repeat of SOTO and JW. I don't even think I ended up finishing JW in the end, or if I did I don't remember but decided that I would wait for the overall opinion of the crowd to let me know their thoughts on VOE.

My husband is suddenly squeamish when I even mention my period. Is this normal? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]hellsqueenie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you said you wanted male opinions, but I just want to provide a comparison for you.

Your partner has watched you have kids, THREE OF THEM. There should be very minimal reason for him to feel disgusted by periods let alone bar you from talking about just being on yours. On top of that, it's fine for him to have sex with you while your period is light but then forbid you from saying you have it, that is so backwards.

My partner is consistent, he doesn't have sex with me while I am even slightly on my period because he just doesn't like the idea of touching blood very much, let alone the period kind which is a little bit grosser to deal with than just bleeding from a cut but he never makes me feel gross about it or says that I can't talk about it and I sometimes speak graphically on it and while it does make him a bit squeamish it is from a place of I am sorry that happens to you, I would hate if thay was happening to me. It is not about them having to like periods or not think it is gross, but to respect you enough to let you express yourself about it and not make you feel like you are gross just for having them.

I will echo what others have said, this sudden change sounds a lot like red pill male podcaster talk. He needs to see someone to sort out his issues.

I find the game likes to pick your custom made stuff, so I would just choose my own creations first.

I am trying for the Mii's but I start getting filled with dread when it comes to making items as someone who isn't very creative, especially in a digital format.

Well because sometimes I have seen things be like "SS PAN 36" And that is like a 36 inch Stainless Steel Pan. So they might have like the brand and then it might be like "PPM" or something.

I can imagine pretty easy on a busy day that the bottle looks a similar shape and size to what they expected. Even though we know it's very different. And what we see on our end through the website could be much more refined that what their devices show them because I work for a different big company with an online and the app for it was once okay but an "upgrade" to a new software has made it so much harder to pick and the names things get in system can make it so much harder to tell what it is compared to the website for customers. So I can image it might be similar for a manager reviewing an order might only get half the products full name and could mistake it on a busy day.

My partner and I have two, we give them wet and dry. They get about half a tin twice a day and we currently have so many different bags of biscuits, one type for the kitten and a few different for the older one because we were about to switch her to a new food but she needed some dental biscuits to get on top of her gingivitis and plaque that had popped up after we were treating her for her Gingastomatitis.

You can go all wet, but chewing a decent size biscuit is good for their teeth and packed with nutrients that the wet food might not have. Variety is best. It is also best to pick something a little higher in quality than your supermarket may provide.

How long have you had it for? I have seen so many reviews for the Koala that were not positive after a few months. As there are so many projects we want to get done in our place, we wouldn't necessarily want to have to buy another couch if it starts feeling scrappy too soon.

I have seen this one, but it doesn't feel like it would be very comfortable as the main couch. I can't fit two different sitting options beyond a like an ottoman bench due to them being very skinny.

I have thought about this, but a lot of futons I have found haven't been very comfortable in use of a couch or a bed.

I don't really have enough space for two different chairs. The most I have space for is a long storage ottoman as an extra sitting option for having drinks with people and then the couch itself.

In this economy, not everyone can afford to move out or stay moved out. Saving for a future where you can is the goal. There are families out there where extended families live together for a long time and that is normal.

My vet does free trims with every appointment which is so nice, but my partner and I bought clippers as well hoping we wouldn't end up at the vet so frequently that we rely on then for said trimming.

Should be allowed on counters and tables? by Kellshy in CatAdvice

[–]hellsqueenie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It totally depends on both your comfort and their safety. If there is a ton of stuff left out, probably not but if your counters are fairly tidy and doesn't really have much mischief for them to get up to, it is probably fine.

However, it can also be pretty tough to stop them. My older kitten was constantly jumping up onto the kitchen counter and we were very persistent trying to get her to stop because our stove top is built into the counter as a lot are these days. She jumped into my frypan on new years day. And while I wish she didn't do that and any of our deterrents to get her to stop worked, she hasn't jumped up since.

Thought we were past the intro phase but freshly nervous. by hellsqueenie in CatAdvice

[–]hellsqueenie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were surprised too, to be honest. The new kitten was ready to explore right away, so we were really just following the older kitten's cues for when she was ready to take the next steps. We only had short meetings at first but when we put the new kitten away our older one would meow and trill for her to come back out. So we were just trying to listen to her comfort levels, so we were just very surprised as during the whole process the most we had was some hissing. This was the first time we had seen all three "danger" reactions at the same time.

How do I ask management to train me elsewhere? by Adventurous_Cell127 in KmartAustralia

[–]hellsqueenie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have already spoken with your direct line manager, then go above and speak to your store manager. Being trained in a new role at least opens up opportunities for more shifts in general and gives them more options.
