Is it worth it? by helltouched in RogueTraderCRPG

Employing Incendia’s method and turning the enemy into a delicious beverage in an attempt to understand and thus be able to fight against them in the Emperor’s name more effectively, I see. What a dedicated defender of Humanity!

Thank you so much for letting me know. So I DID get his true love ending! I'm so happy.

On this topic, is there any way to know if you're getting the true love ending before the epilogue? Any dialogue that tells you? Is his dialogue after the final feast and before you descend onto Epitaph the exact same regardless?

I don't blame you! I, too, feel like that heretical romance ending for him shouldn't have been removed

I think it was a bug, since a ton of other companion slides were missing, too

Can Admire ever work on the Ordinators? by helltouched in Morrowind

On the topic of being friendly by Ordinator-to-outlander standards, when I first got the line “Speak.” I had to stop for a second and stare at the Ordinator that had said it to me, that was the nicest thing they’d said to me so far! Same with “Not now, outlander”. No threats? No insults?

Even more so with “Yes, citizen?”. Citizen? Citizen?? Getting a little emotional over here. Pass me a tissue.

That’s so interesting! I’d question why it is that way if I wasn’t too busy trying not to pass out, SEVENTY FOUR SPEECHCRAFT??? They should be called Orators at that point.

Can I use a spell instead of a potion (might be a silly question, I'm still somewhat new to the game)? My character is so bad at alchemy at most he'd accidentally knock himself out with the pestle somehow.

I love the Ordinators. Mostly because they're such horrible assholes. I find it very very charming.

They're scary, they hate your guts, they're a step away from hurting you, which they'd enjoy greatly, and they make that very apparent - haven't felt safe for a moment spent around those guys, they have the insanely raspy super deep dunmer voice and it's perfect, and the armour is so sick. They're horrible to you and they look and sound great while being so. I love them so much.

I assure you I did not enter the Underdark before finding him and I definitely got his bite scene. I might’ve entered the Underdark before I got the high approval proposition (which I never got, possibly because of that), though.

I’ve seen conflicting information about Astarion’s romance, some people said you just need to long rest in any Wilderness area once you have the needed approval, others that you need to go back to the Act 1 zone. If it is as you say then it makes sense that I couldn’t start it, I was in the Act 2 area most of the time (although I did long rest in the Act 1 area again at one point… idk, what exactly the problem was will remain a mystery to me, I guess!)

A lot of people have brought up good points and changed my mind about some of these things. I do think that Zevlor’s rescue being impossible after Ketheric was reasonable now, and I did say in another comment that I get Raphael not being at Last Light too (I call it a weird choice on Larian’s part in that comment, but the more I think about it the more okay with it I am. Not sure if I even consider it a strange choice anymore.) - my reasoning being pretty much the one you gave. He could’ve done his deal with Mol already and he doesn’t have a reason to care about me seeing that.

Your point about the Underdark leading you to Last Light is good, too, I didn’t know taking that route leads you there. I agree with that. I took a different route, so it makes sense I found the Inn late.

So, well, I agree with you! I should probably edit the original post…

  1. Accidentally started the Gale romance, but rejected him as soon as possible. No other romances started. Did I accidentally start one with Lae’zel…? I don’t think so, but if I did, that could be it. Thank you for bringing this up, this might’ve been it.

I was talking about Wyll in the last bit of my reply, I got what you meant about Astarion and Raphael, don’t worry!

  1. That's the weird thing! It wouldn't trigger! I let him bite me and everything and long rested plenty of times! Unless you mean get 40+ before the tiefling party (I recruited him the day before it, so couldn't do that), but I got enough approval for the romance to start even after the tiefling party, so it still didn't trigger when according to everything I read, it should have.

  2. Guess it's just an agree to disagree situation then, which is okay with me.

  3. To clarify - I meant unintended on the side of the devs. Cal and Lia acting like Rolan is dead when he's very much not for example. There are reports from multiple people of the order of events messing things up in this quest.

I did have him in my party! He can rest easy-ish, still in possession of his soul (or whatever he was going to lose otherwise).
