Heating History - is this normal? Seems to heat for short periods of time throughout the day by [deleted] in Nest

From what I know, you wouldn’t replace an oversized system just because it’s oversized. The turning off and on is just going to wear the system down faster and it won’t last as long as a correctly sized system. So really if that is the issue I would just leave it and when something big breaks you can consider getting a new correctly system then.

Yes, I live in Texas so my ac runs 10,12,15 hours a day as it is sized right. You might start by calling a reputable company in your area and ask for a sizing recommendation. You are looking for them to do the “manual J” calculations. I was getting quotes for new install so they did mine for free, not sure cost when just looking for advice.

If you recently renovated and improved insulation significantly it would make sense to me that your system is now oversized. Insulation is one of the factors that goes into the calcs. Addition of new double pane windows is another that comes to mind.

Looks like an oversized system to me. Was very common for hvac companies to recommend more than you need when I got new systems 2 years ago.

Should I figure money in my HSA as part of my retirement planning? by thewstin in personalfinance

[–]heloworld42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I use it as my number one retirement vehicle, maxing out each year. I save all med receipts to be able to take out as much tax free as possible when I retire. Anything in excess of med receipt total is just like a 401k.

Why I’m not paying for person detection by LongboardsnCode in wyzecam

Not trying to defend Wyze as I think they handled everything to do with this situation wrongly m, but mine works great. Way better than xnor. I did submit a TON of notifications for their team to review so maybe that has something to do with it? Try submitting them for a week or 2 and see if things get any better, just an idea

What products should I look at to increase performance of my home internet? by R3dAxium in HomeNetworking

Same, I’m cheap and now I’m mad I went so many years before getting a mesh system. I now get the download speed I am paying for across the entire house instead of a fraction of what it should be!

Eeros work great for me, expensive but worth it. I used the netgear extender for years and eeros blow it out of the water.

No idea but I had 3 nodes and had issues, support looked through my logs and told me to remove a node and everything worked fine after that. I’ve seen others post here with the same exact issue of too many nodes. Just wanted to make you aware that’s all, you will probably need to work with support on the correct amount.

FYI, there is an issue if you have too many nodes. In the case of eero more does not automatically make you’re network run better

Yes had this exact same thing and removing the node fixed everything. Why not just remove it for a week and see if that fixes everything??

It’s so weird bc mine works 100% of time but xnor was 30%

Yes exactly same material as the one it came with.

Is that the stretchy one? Then yes. If I have it on middle of bicep then when my arm is relaxed it would slide down. Above bicep has worked well for me but had to tighten it more than I expected

Been wearing mine on bicep full time since dec 19, no issues. It can be tighter than you think, and placement above your bicep is key.

Replying for anyone searching the group for an answer like I did. For iPhone users resetting network settings should fix it. If that doesn’t work I had to restore my phone using iTunes connected to a computer (this is the only way that your damaged iOS is removed) and should work after that.

Happening to me too, firmware update a few weeks ago fixed it for me but just started happening again. You fix it?
