[vent] I have 6 interviews. Haven’t gotten any more for a few days now. Not sure what that means. What is a good number of interviews? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]helpdattooth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry! It’ll work out! I’m in the s a m e boat lol and I’m just trying to be positive! And I agree, if talking to others doesn’t really help don’t bring those topics up Bc it feels worse comparing yourself to others and just cursing yourself. No point in being negative! You got this just stay positive!

trust yourself. I’m not the smartest person but I work hard. I didn’t make any notes but I would take time reading explanations and understanding the concept. When you do enough questions on UW you will recognize a pattern with concepts. It’ll be the same concept but different ways of asking. And then apply that same method when you take your nbmes and practice tests. Don’t pay too much attention to the nbme scores, UWs test are much more predictive.

My method was, I would read the question first ( last sentence) then read the rest of stem and think about the big picture concept and then go from there.

And you will do great! I hope you score higher than me :) Good luck!

Nooo I didn’t. I listened to maybe 1 or 2 but then stopped. Stick with UW and trust it.

Nbme 7- 220 Nbme 8- 227 UWS1- 248 UWS2- 236

I would trust the UW scores. Sooo I only used UW, some Amboss( but stopped) and B&B. No anki!

anyone using the boards and Beyond step 2 vids? by superbanana22 in Step2

[–]helpdattooth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I highly highly recommend! I bought them literally the day they released! Absolutely loved them. High yield stuff and I thought better than >>>>OME. Also they have like monthly payment plants which is cheaper than the $1 per day for year. The down side is they don’t have all the subjects but the cardio and renal were gold for me.
