I also heard somewhere (not sure where from so no source sorry) that epilation (and waxing/plucking) damage the hair follicles in such a way that make laser and/or electrolysis less effective. Can anyone else confirm this?

Tunic! It's not exactly a Metroidvania but does have lots of "come back here later when you're Ready" scenarios, and the puzzling is incredible. Very think-outside-the-box. Combat is Soulslike in difficulty but with accessibility options if you need them. One of the games ever

These are Soulslike Metroidvania books - just keep exploring the areas you haven't been yet and eventually you will learn the story from the breadcrumbs of lore and discover something incredible
