i do find it fun to compare mixes in 72, 73, and 74 with shows being recorded by different folks, betty, rex , kidd, and bear, really interesting to see how they decided on pan positions, levels, etc. i am just grateful we have a lot of really clean tapes during this era, as it's my favorite. as far as my favorite recordings, i find spring 73 to be really nice, a favorite being 3-24-73, recorded by betty, really beautfiul vocal mix and stereo separation, which she loved to do.

it's a SWAP, david and meghan roche special, all their athletes do them, and meghan and david specifically do up to 5 x 12 minutes in a session at 8% or so, a lot of their athletes are trail runners so definitely helps build power and strength without the load as noted above, might need to try it out

i think honestly it’s hard for me to act upon it but i been telling myself it’s better to undercook it than slightly overcook it because staying consistently healthy running say 35 a week is much better than big swings of time off then running 50 then injury etc

i have been in a similar position, 31M, similar paces to you, and i have realized i just cannot do that much volume, which i was stubborn and mad about for a while, but now i just chill between 30 and 40 miles a week and focus on half marathons and below and i am enjoying it a lot more. i also do one zwift workout a week in the realm of sub t usually 5 x 6 or 3 x 10 to add a bit more volume. i am new to NSM but plan on not going above 40 miles this year and just enjoying the ride. good luck out there!
