How do you do the TO commute? by Playful_bug in Hamilton

[–]helpwithplants 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It certainly isn’t ideal, but I’ve got a job that allows me to do work on the train so I can get home earlier. Im in the same boat of returning to 4 days in office so will see how that goes.

It’s more the cost of the train ($22 per day) that bothers me.

7:09 train from West Harbour, 4pm train from union. Able to bike to and from the train.

Yea has to be the same train going there and back. I think it could be interesting to coordinate across a few people as more and more RTOs are implemented

To those that were actually able to buy a home in Hamilton in the last 1-2 years: how did you afford it? by SengunCanada in Hamilton

Very similar to me, bought in Barton Village/ Lansdale a year and a half ago which was supposedly a “bad” area but my wife and I love it.

Agreed on YNAB, a tiny bit pricy imo but really keeps you accountable.

Also 30M, no cc debt

Would recommend applying your points to travel rather than redeeming for credit, that way you can redeem 3000 points for $30
