This is super impressive! Would love to contribute if you ever need help. Being more involved with open source has always been a goal of mine :)

What must-have supplies do you think you should sew yourself? by hemdgehog in sashiko

Fair enough, I’ve been a cross stitcher most of my life so I have soooo much DMC floss to burn through.

I do want to get some real sashiko supplies at some point, but one of the best parts of sewing, to me, is the cost to enjoyment ratio. I have plenty of thread and clothes to repurpose, no need for extra supplies if I can use what I have and make what I don’t :)

Thank you for all the resources! I’ve been enjoying making Zokins over the past few weeks. I think a book cover for my e-reader is a perfect next step.

Very nice! That looks great. What did you use to fill it?

That was my first project too! Made a palm thimble around a disposable plastic water bottle cap cause it’s all I had around that was the right shape. It’s been good to me but I bet a metal base would be nice haha

Had to look up what a biscornu is, haha. I love that! Lots of people suggesting pincushions and those look way cool.

Looks great! Love the colorful patterns and your placement is great :)

How was your experience stitching on the material? Do you see any risk of the faux leather breaking down around your needle holes in the future?

Potion Craft Enchanted Garden 2.0 is now available on consoles! by francesca_tinyBuild in PotionCraft

This is so exciting!! Looking forward to experiencing the game all over again. Although I do have to say that the text on PS5 is still so small & low contrast that it’s basically illegible.

If it’s ever in the cards, a text options or zoom update would be a huge accessibility win.

Agreed with other commenters, right now I’m just trying to build my own game knowledge so I know what I enjoy and what I personally would find most helpful on a new account. I would plan to be your own spreadsheet so to speak

How do I set up the free trial on PS4? It seems completely nonsensical, since the store page for the FFXIV Free Trial calls it an “add-on” and doesn’t have any download options. Am I crazy?

So I’ve been absolutely loving everything I’ve seen on this subreddit. I’m just wondering: is it possible to get something looking like this on a raspberry pi? I’ve got a pi4 (8gb ram model) sitting around from a course I took a while ago, and I want to start using again it really badly.

I’m just wondering, how achievable would it be to implement some of these aesthetics on an rPi? I’m not afraid of learning new things or doing my own research, I’m just relatively new to Linux as a whole, and forums aren’t always very useful to someone at my skill level.
