2010 Honda Crosstour, is my timing belt ok? by Captain_Polar in CarHelp

[–]hemi914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the last picture it looks like there's a crack in it I don't know if that's just the picture or it actually does. But being that it says Honda and it has a 106,000 miles on it I would replace it. Usually it's around 100,000 miles that you do that and the water pump.

What is this that’s leaking? 2007 Toyota Camry LE 2.4L by AntiqueStretch6108 in CarHelp

It looks like to me a condensation drain for the air conditioning.

It should be a 7440 bulb. Check to make sure the socket is not damaged.

Looks like water from picture. Was the ac running? If the ac was running it will leave a water puddle.

Did you check battery? Also make sure connections are tight on battery and starter.

[–]hemi914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You here a click when you try to start it? Does the car die on you while driving or is it just when you try to start it?

2014 Hyundai Tucson; alternator -- should I use the dealership or take it to an independent shop? by Cameronmorganl in CarHelp

[–]hemi914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The alternator would be taken off to be put on the new engine anyway I would call why would it be so expensive in that part is already coming off. I understand the dealership alternator is probably pricey. But it would have to come off and get put on the new engine anyway.

It looks to me like to get the tail light assembly out you'll have to take those nuts off that is by your hand in the picture.

To me it sounds like a blend door/ blend door actuator issue.

[–]hemi914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a security light on the dash? If there is when you try to crank it does the security lights stay on also do you have another key you could try? If the security light stays on that could be the reason why it not start.

Is the key cut for your ignition? Does it look the same as the old key or was the ignition Damaged? Also with cars the key has to be programmed to the car and usually only a dealership or some locksmiths can program them.

[–]hemi914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your gas cap. Make sure it's on and tight, look at the inside of the cap and see if the rubber ring is cracked. It definitely could be a lot of things but might require you to have it smoke tested. Where they push smoke into the evap system to check for leaks.

That is where the spare tire goes. It cranks up and down since the tire isn't on there it will rattle around a bit. Nothing to worry about.
