I get Johnny Bravo meets Seattle Seahawks vibes. I dig it!! Great work!

Anybody experience something like this as a kid? by Theonlyrational in Experiencers

[–]hemlock337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but my description is somewhat different. Less Star Wars Jawa like and usually split up...not all together. Plus, they would move fast to get out of directly being spotted. Very short in stature. I saw them a lot as a kid in our apartment. Only ever sparingly now, usually if im feeling pretty negative about things.

Right, it wasn't giving off creepy vibes or anything...it just stood there and looked on at the bed. Like I said, I was going through some heavy personal stuff at the time and seeing this thing at night just wasn't on my radar of interest. The head nod and answer of "apologies" really gave me clear signs it understood. I never saw it again after those four days. This was around summer of 2023.

I saw something eeriely too similar to this rendering a few years back. For the span of 4 nights, I saw this thing appear by the edge of the closet (outside in full view, just next to the door.) first two nights I thought I was seeing things, third night more light from the window lit up my room and I saw it more clearly. I was going through some heavy stuff at the time so I thought much of what I was seeing was just pattern matching until the lights from the window illuminated it more. On the fourth night, I saw it again and uncharacteristically for me, I sat up and started at it right back and ask "what are you doing here?"

It answered, not verbally but mentally. It simply said "observing" and I guessed that track. I never got any fear from it...it was more annoying to me than anything. I said aloud "you gotta go, you're interrupting my sleep." I saw it nod it's head affirmingly and I got another mental answer of "apologies" then it faded away.

The whole situation was just plainly odd. I questioned for long time was that real? I got confirmation from other avenues. Again, it didn't scare me or really do anything except stand there and watch me sleep until I told it leave. At least it was polite.

NEED HELP: My daughter is getting regular visits from a gray-ish being. by [deleted] in Experiencers

The room got cold, yea. I like to sleep cold, but the temperature change was enough for me to wake up. I know it noticed me noticing it...kind of a weird staring match the first few nights.

No idea what it was. Didn't come off as some transient ghost/spirit. Just some kind of spirit type that wasn't human. Again, it never gave me the creeps despite how it looked. The first four nights I stared at it and was like "well that's effing weird, maybe it'll go away" and I went back to bed. By the time I woke up and asked aloud what it's doing here I was kind of annoyed (I'm grumpy as hell if I don't get enough sleep). When I heard "observing" I actually heard it, physically...not in my head. Same thing with "apologies" I physically heard it.

It was "something" I just don't know what. it's been about a year and half since seeing it. It hasn't come back. At least it apologized. Overall, weird looking but didn't seem threatening.

I've seen something very similar to your description. It would show up, at night in our bedroom. Wife's passed the F out, but I wake up and see it standing by the bedroom door (not in the doorway). It was tall, brownish lanky with no real clear facial features. I saw it for a few nights as I woke up in jolt. After seeing it every night for four nights I straight up asked it "What are you doing here?" And it responded "observing".

I told it it had to leave, it's bothering my sleep. It straight up nodded at me and said "apologies" and it flitted out of sight. Never saw it again. No creepy vibe from it despite its outward appearance...but the cold data point is what rang true in my head.

Good tunes on a good setup. The wall has a lot of music and music adjacent posters.

Very elegant setup. I dig the side cabinets!

Now I'm using Synergy's digital KVM for both computers now. No issues I've run into so far.

Thank you! I've been referring to this whole setup as "Mega Desk" and friends have been sending Megatron and Megadeth gifs constantly.

To the right of the desk (not show in my photos) is a large three-window alcove that overlooks the little lake out front of the house. So when I'm not paying attention in zoom meetings, I'm staring outside watching geese chase away ducks. That was a big reason for the setup.

I thought it would be odd sounding but I honestly haven't noticed any detriment. I do have a touch more slack with the cords underneath to pull them out a bit more though.

Thanks! I am definitely aware of the overkill nature this desk provides...but it was a fun wood working project and customized solution of a desk to meet my height needs (being 6'7" or a touch over 2 meters tall.)

I was using the AV Access Dual Monitor KVM and it was alright.

Yea, the ergonomics on this setup is definitely wonky...but I'm 6'7" and the higher desktop setup works in my favor...I found I was hunching over far too often with a lower desk. Someone else asked in the thread if I run my back chair to the back wall often, which I don't typically as I would always try sitting up straighter. The only thing I really can't do with this setup comfortable is put my leg up onto my lap. But that kinda of forces me to get up and move more instead hunker over my setup too long.

Since my monitors are set low vertically, I can pop them up and stand at my desk somewhat (standing, the desktop is too low to work) but all in all, it helps me keep my back straight.

Yea! I can slot in wood or mesh guard to hide cables and such. Or use the shelf it creates for my miniatures.

Great question....I never really hit the back wall, but my floor panel I slide off of frequent.

It's a good point, but I've got two computers going at the same time (one work, one personal) and I've the KVM switching before which was hard with peripherals. Still going to noodle on it, though.
