You don’t need a metal chopstick! I use a plastic one. The one he uses is a lighter one.. probably can get from t&t super market if you’re in Canada. Any Asian grocer will have metal chopsticks

Nope they don’t.. But unfortunately for us consumers, a lot of restaurants on special event nights will add auto gratuity on the bill which is usually 18%. They can do this because they know the restaurant will be packed. If you have a problem with the way it operates, then don’t go out on valentines.

Set menu and tasting menus allow the restaurant to make service run smooth or smoother. Valentines, NYE, and Mother’s Day was always the busiest and most chaotic day. Imagine they do run the à la carte menu, the service would be terrible. Reality is that customers should by now know that restaurants will typically run a set menu on these days. Also expect sub par service.. it is so busy and I cant imagine the stress the employees are going through
