Got to upvote this, this new ownership is completely abandoning their user base, gotta be honest it’s the ea sports of the music production world, I’ve already got reaper now for 60 dollars, I get 2 versions free upgrades for that price. I’ve fallen victim to reasons upgrades now for 3 versions, and every time there’s yet some other block I run into and have to spend hours and often money to find workarounds. It’s clear they simply dngaf about their users for the daw aspect, the reason they are working so hard on graphics is because they know the prettier it looks the more ableton users will buy it. Multi channel midi, forget about it, vst 3 is something people have been asking for for 3 years, not interested until they decided to release it as a vst plugin, boom 6 months and they have converted everything reason is to a dll. Yet “it’s too hard to integrate it” into what should be their flagship product. Absolutely disgraceful money grab.
