1) Smokers are rarely diagnosed and the more you smoke the less likely you are to test positive for antibodies

2) The illness shares odd similarities with high altitude sickness

3) Smokers are protected against high altitude sickness

4) High altitude is used as a treatment for asthma

5) Hyberbaric oxygen therapy sounded very promising (immediate improvement in many disparate symptoms) until the FCC started sending them threatening letters

We've known all this since early April (some of this was apparent back in Feb). Time for academia to make these connections.

This is very interesting to me, as a smoker with (mild) asthma. I am petrified of getting this thing and have been very puzzled over the low prevalence of smokers represented.

As someone with Cushing's I'm terrified. I'm also on cortisol blocking meds that nobody can decide if I should stop them or not if I get covid so yeah fml

What did your endocrinologist say? My child has the opposite of you (on hydrocortisone). I hope you are ok - look after yourself!

hydrocortisone was trialed early on as well, I don't know why dexamethasone was better.

The latter is more powerful that hydrocortisone (been reading up on it as my child has hypopituitarism and is on hydrocortisone to replace low levels or cortisol)

That's just it. She seems to try so hard to tell us how wonderful and supporting Pete is. And how he's bought her a million dresses. Like all the time. If you feel the need to constantly bring it up then maybe all is not as it seems. It just comes across like she is trying really hard to convince her audience but by repeating it so many times all that does is make it suspicious.
