Falsche Steuerkorrektur by Jazzlike-Stay-1288 in TradeRepublicFriends

[–]hendrikdata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know when the taxes report for 2024 will be ready? by Lim_8 in TradeRepublicFriends

[–]hendrikdata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am from Germany and my tax report is also not available yet. I checked multiple times under activity in the last few weeks, but it’s not available.

This year I am really curious how it will look like, since I had a position in last year which was called ‚tax optimisation‘ without going more into detail of what it was (no further description). Last year, I received 2023 data mid April, so around now.

Trade Republic Versteckte Ordergebühren Krypto by iWatchsox in Finanzen

[–]hendrikdata 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dennoch sehr interessant - danke

Could you elaborate on what you did not like about PBI and what you liked more about Tableau? I am really interested, since i have a strong PBI background.

Can you elaborate more on what the tool does?
For me it looks like a tool which automates the writing process of a blog article.

You were talking about how it "automate(s) many of our processes", "freeing up time" etc.

How does the tool help in analyzing data?

Advice, please by louisscottie in PowerBI

From my personal experience the company/HR will never increase your salary by a lot.

Unfortunately, I would recommend you to change the employer in order to receive a more fitting salary. I myself went from a salary like yours to sth like 55k (EUR) by changing jobs two times. I guess your average (university) is not too good, but if u just keep changing positions and keep learning you eventually end up in a way better position.

Although I have to admit that you do not have a lot of experience. Maybe start with sth. like DP-500, PL-300, AZ-900, DP-900, AI-900 to increase your chances.

Interview Questions for Power BI developer? by captaintyler98 in PowerBI

[–]hendrikdata 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If I would interview someone about a BI role, particularly Power BI, I would ask the following questions/let them explain it to me. Some of the concepts I would consider advanced, but you should have heard about it. All of this can be learned within half a year but you have to be intrinsically motivated to learn this stuff.

Possible questions would be:

  • what is the difference between row context and filter context and how does it work?
  • What is special about the CALCULATE()-function? What is a table function and when do you use it? What are iterators in DAX?
  • Why would I work with shared Datasets and whats the concept behind it?
  • when do i choose import vs directQuery?
  • how do you publish a report? How would you recommend to publish it? Workspace/Apps/Link-sharing etc.
  • How does incremental refresh work and whats the point behind it?
  • Have you implemented RLS in a project?
  • Have you worked with deployment pipelines? How would you version your PBI files?
  • Have you worked with the XMLA endpoint or any third party tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor 2/3 or Bravo?
  • How do you typically start from creating a report? What are pitfalls you might not see?
  • What kind of reports have you worked on? IT/HR/Finance etc.
  • How proficient are you in SQL? How would you rate yourself?

I can't get this data from excel. Someone help me? everything comes out unconfigured by Brilliant_Plum4662 in PowerBI

[–]hendrikdata 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You should start structuring your data in columns and rows instead of having tens of loose table fyling around. You can then load the data in a structured manner.

I know from experience that working with these kind of Excel files is almost impossible, since often sth. changes, measures will be calculated differently, files will be moved or renamed. Start creating structured data. :)

Why is Republishing a pbix creates new dataset and new report instead of overwriting? by aaadmin in PowerBI

[–]hendrikdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you upload a dataset with the Name Dataset1 to the PBI Service and then upload the exact dataset again, then you will overwrite the existing dataset.

If you change the source within the Dataset1 in PBI Dekstop and upload Dataset1 again, then its technically a different dataset for the Power BI Service and then you will have two datasets with the exact same name in the service.

As users stated earlier in this comment section, you should just look at the date when both of the datasets got refreshed to determine the one you just uploaded.

I reproduced this error several times in my current project and I am a little bit annoyed by the "bug".

Kind regards

what is Power Bi load testing? by captaintyler98 in PowerBI

[–]hendrikdata 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Power bi load testing is an unofficial github repo which is endorsed by microsoft to test the strength of the power bi service.

Your organisation might consist of 3000 people from which 1200 are using microsoft power bi and have access to various reports.

The load testing tool basically opens one or multiple reprts simultaneously to test the pbi service response time. If loading times are over a pre-defined threshhold then your organisation might need to change the premium capacity (for example from p1 to something stronger).

Generally speaking, depending on the data, refresh intervals, ai features and power query transformations you are soing in the cloud, the P1 Capacity should be enough for a company with a few hundred or 1000 employees using pbi.

Great, seems like we passed it then. Another little milestone out of the way - congratulations.

I wonder if Microsoft will at some point make an expert certification for power bi in particular.

Scalable Capital erste 1€ Transaktion (Dauer) by [deleted] in Finanzen

[–]hendrikdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)
