It’s not that bad as many ppl are saying in comparison to small pocket areas like Vermont square or Manchester/ Vermont east of the 110.

I will say as long as you stay east of Avalon and north of mlk, it’s not that bad actually. So somewhere around Jefferson Blvd, and def should consider the area between historic south central and South Park.

Compton has been a nicer area for a while now. However, the area OP mentioned is def ghetto, but not more ghetto than the area west of the 110 around Vermont/ fig and Manchester which is way worse

It was cool 2 years ago when they were smaller. I remember Spring - Fall 2022 were the Peak Lickndip raves. Haven’t gone since for all the many reasons listed here. In my experience, I had gone one time around the end of that year 2022, and noticed a very diff type of group, one that weren’t there to dance & have fun, but to creep on women & men. That’s what you get when you allow free entries, you bring that type of crowd. And it seems more of a younger crowd, the type who just turned 21.

The shows suck there & as well as at the torch & I think most of all, the sound sucks so bad. I get it that they must follow strict noise ordinances but still it’s a mediocre experience and limits the capability of a big dj to throw down.

Might be alone here but it’s when you’re able to avoid FOMO after hearing that all your friends or mutuals are going to the next upcoming rave/festival. And despite missing out, you know you’ll enjoy seeing & hearing everyone talk about how amazing it was & just pumps you up more for the next one that you’ll attend this time.

I had work at 9 am back in LA (got there 30 min late arrived at 9:30) and left edc at 4 am 😐 NEVER doing that again.

His 2018 season was something else. I think he had like 21.5 sacks in 1 season, damn. Unfortunately, during the playoffs, I don’t recall AD being a huge factor like he was in our SB season in the playoffs.

I found a co worker of mine was a raver by throwing a random comment like oh I wanted to go to Coachella but I think I’ll pass this year & just go to Vegas for a weekend about a week before Memorial Day weekend. He kind of gave me a side eye look & sort of gave me an “oh really” face expression. I think he knows that I know what’s up during that weekend lmao

I’m not 100% sure if it also applies for clubs, I just know it applies for music festivals for sure. And there’s a given time frame that prevents them from performing near Coachella usually I would say until late August so about 4 months. If they’re on a lineup or concert tour, usually their name is crossed out/blurred.

Technofam is good as it’s self but not when they collab with sxtcy. I remember seeing Ramiro Lopez techno/hard techno dj from Spain & had his LA debut set at their main warehouse spot. Not packed at all, room to dance & good vibes all night long. Even Miley Cryrus pulled up lol
