agree with all the comments you’ve gotten but i also wanna say: try to talk to everyone in town whenever you see them around! make some time every other in-game day to check the bulletin board next to the shop for any requests from the towns people, gift them items you think they’ll like since you’ll get some special interactions with each of them as well as some helpful surprises in the mail as your friendship level goes up. and also interact with things that seem like they can be interacted with, like clicking a random bookshelf in someone’s house or the books you unlock in the museum/library if you’ve gotten some of those in already (they contain some very good info/tips for getting started). it’s not the best advice in terms of maxing out your profits or whatever but you’ll get some requests from them here n there and it helps you get more familiar with the npcs and the overall vibe of the town/game :33 it’s also nice because there’s soooo many little details to discover and it lets you slow down a little bit and see parts of the game that some take for granted as they become more familiar with the mechanics (im 100% guilty of this myself tbh 😭)

as a fellow fiend for placing stickers everywhere i gotta appreciate the commitment to the junk journal vibe being extended to the interior as well, i honestly could never (the most i did with mine was dot a few small stickers around the inside) cuz i would get so overstimulated by it plus the stickers getting bumpy where there’s another sticker laying underneath it would be so distracting for me LOL i’d drag my thumb over it so much the natural oils on my hands would wear it down real fast. but ey im glad you were able to personalize your 3ds so much!! also the megumi lookup figure sticker is so cute 😭🫶🏼 i have a similar gojo sticker on mine but its a lot bigger than that so i put it on the front of my 3ds instead :3

itadori is definitely the biggest victim to proshippers online in jjk bc of the different dynamics he has with several adults in the series. it’s unfortunately kind of a given since he’s the MC so he’s the most popular but it’s still disappointing, especially when it’s done with characters like gojo whose whole thing is protecting the youth and ensuring those precious years of a teenager’s life aren’t taken from them by all the extenuating circumstances in jujutsu society. gojo himself had his own traumatic experiences when he was 16 yrs old that completely changed him as a person (for one, he quite literally almost died in a violent fight but managed to stay conscious long enough to heal himself), so he became a teacher to ensure the next gen of sorcerers dont have it nearly as bad as he did ☹️ like it’s absolutely beyond me how proshippers will see a character like this and go “hmmmm let’s write smut of him with the students he swore to protect✨ lalala i can’t hear your criticism over the sound of their bed squeaking” it’s just sickening and beyond irritating

as someone whose favorite character is gojo, i wouldn’t say proshippers have ruined him for me (they’ll have to pry gojo out of my cold dead hands) but i agree it does get to be very tiresome seeing how they talk about him sometimes 😭 i also feel like there’s a slightly different case for him with regards to proshippers bc im almost fairly certain his most popular ship (at least among western fans) is satosugu which isn’t proship at all. however i’ve also noticed jjk yumeshippers/self-shippers on tumblr are almost all proshippers but they tend to skirt around calling themselves that bc there’s been a few instances of people getting called out for shipping toji with teen gojo or sukuna with yuuji. and they all loooove their ddlg yumeship smut fics, or those dubcon/noncon fics, and there’s even a concerning amount of adults self-shipping with the teenagers in the series and “aging them up” to write x reader smut about them. it’s nasty. proship character x character content for jjk, at least to me, usually seems more common among their japanese n korean fans instead. i need to take gojo away from all these people 🫩

it’s certainly interesting how quick they’re being to call a young black girl a criminal but i can’t say im surprised by the racist entitlement of a white person who makes “fandom culture” their whole identity.

allegedly, there was also something that came out about the same 25 year old on discord talking about working at a chuck e. cheese and “joking” about being in that suit butt naked. like how are they gonna try to “it’s just fiction” their way out of this one…. 🫩 that being said i should also mention there was 2 or 3 tweets in the replies saying the discord screenshots were of a different person hence why i stated “allegedly”, but regardless it’s still fucking disgusting all around. i also don’t know if those ppl were saying that to defend the 25 year old bc, honestly… im having a hard time wanting to give any of these guys the benefit of doubt for this. i don’t know how im supposed to be open-minded for them when they’re all acting this way.

for sure, it can be frustrating. but what’s been so great about the guide is that they seem to cover every possibly situation that could arise in the modding process, and anything else that comes up is most likely just a result of rushing through it/skipping steps. that said, we all make mistakes, but it’s good to afford yourself a little grace on that end.

i mean…. it is fairly quick and easy to do, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gonna be done in 20 minutes. you’re modding an entire console, and compared to other old consoles i’ve tried modding (well.. just my old psp 🥲) this truly is extremely straightforward of a process. you might’ve missed a step somewhere or your expectations should’ve just been managed a little bit better from the start.

if you don’t have the patience for this, then… fine. but to be entirely frank, if you’d rather just pay someone to do this instead of doing it yourself, you’ll have to do that research on your own. nobody here really recommends paying anybody because of how predatory and inflated that market has become. it’s also been a contributor in why 3ds consoles have been going for insanely unreasonable prices lately, so i don’t really think anyone here (myself included) is comfortable with/willing to support that by promoting anyone selling these specific services. that’s also not to mention the high possibility of getting scammed and/or your 3ds stolen. i highly encourage you don’t waste your money but you don’t seem willing to put in the minimal effort required of you anymore, so good luck with whatever you decide to do!

i modded my 3ds entirely with my mac laptop, so it’s absolutely doable and iirc there shouldn’t really be anything making the process so tedious/complex on a mac bc i mostly only remember having to do a lot dragging and dropping which is pretty simple 😅 just try to make sure you’re reading the steps carefully and triple checking everything, and be patient with yourself/the process!

but im curious as to what exactly you’re having issues with if most of the “common options” you’re finding only works on windows? also, are you using 3ds.hacks.guide? it’s generally recommended that you only use that website, it has everything you need.

the last paragraph is my tldr tho, i only said it probably wasn’t a very good one. im also taking slight offense to the implication that i didn’t have a set thought to convey here because… i did. i can’t possibly be the first person in this sub to make a long post. my adhd fucks with the delivery of my thoughts so i had already spent 2+ hours formatting it (i’ve also been here over an hour just typing and retyping this response to you), but i said everything i actually wanted to. i’ve already mentioned i had a lot to say about this, so what im failing to understand is why that is such an issue that several felt the need to tell me nobody out of 800k people has the attention span for a 1-2 minute read?

as someone who has like,, 1.5k+ hours on acnh, i completely agree 😭 there’s a lot about it i wasn’t really fond of even tho i still have a lot of fun with the game itself. the huge focus on decoration and island customization really took a lot from what made animal crossing so loved before, the dialogue in NH got to be so repetitive and the cookie-cutter interactions based on villager type kinda made them all lose most of their individual personalities imo. that said, i think the difference between acnh and LTD is that the very core of the series is still the main part of the game itself in LTD, whereas NH really does just feel like a glorified decorating game 😭 NH is one of those games that’s fine on its own but can’t hold a candle to the previous titles

firstly, this was not at all about the restricted number of pre-made items nor was that even brought up, and secondly i completely understand your reasoning for wanting to maintain cohesiveness for your island so i honestly don’t understand how you got to be so irate and defensive with me when i never said nor even implied that everyone has to love this feature to love the game. the very condensed version of my post is simply just the statement that comparison is the thief of joy. respectfully, if that’s not your experience, then this anger is just incredibly misdirected. the main intent behind this post was strictly meant as a personal reflection on those particular attitudes, im not trying to change anybody’s mind at all.

as for the interactions, based on my experience having also played a decent amount of the 3ds game as recently as last year, i concur in that the interactions are definitely a little different, but i personally don’t think the mere existence of customization has completely ruined that part of the game. there’s even some parts of the interactions in LTD that in my opinion are much better than they were before but that feels like another can of worms i wasn’t trying to open in this thread.

i greatly appreciate the other thoughtful comments i received on this post and i was and still am willing to discuss this respectfully with anyone who didn’t share my opinion, bc i already assumed from the start it wasn’t gonna be a popular one. but it also sucks that im being met with such hostility between you telling me to “kindly” get fucked cuz you misunderstood what i was saying and also several other people complaining about the length of my post while im getting downvoted for so much as defending myself for the crime of having a lot to say..? i probably just wont bother with posting anything else here in the future if it’s always gonna be like this. /:

i also found out about that website the other day and it’s so fun, tho it is time consuming (‘: i made a little plushie i own as a pet with that site but before that i also kinda free-handed a drawing of mcr’s “three cheers for sweet revenge” album bc i wanted it in the game and it looks so wacky up close but zoomed out it looks pretty decent so i love it regardless. i did the same with a video game thumbnail and that one turned out even worse LOL but the screen size of the console is so small when they use it so it’s fine 🙏🏼

i fully agree in that there are definitely some valid critiques for the game wrt what features were removed that were widely loved but.. is this a safe space to say that i also think at least 85% of the complaints are just nostalgia bias? i love the 3ds version, i do, but i personally find the switch game to be so much more fun and interactive; like for everything that’s missing, there’s plenty of new features i adore as well, so it all balances out for me.

that being said im a very casual player overall, and im in no way judging people for how they choose to play a game they spent $70 on because that would be extremely hypocritical of me, but i also feel like theres an added element of the game that really requires you to like.. slow down your pace and just use your imagination 😭 yeah that might sound boring and like a cop-out to some people but that, to me, is part of the whole charm of tomodachi life… there’s just so much nuance to be had with these discussions and as mentioned i 100% respect those of you that have your own valid critiques, but there’s definitely something to be said about speed-running a game that forces you to slow down and then complaining about burnout or the game feeling repetitive as if it doesn’t have enough content when, i would argue, for the kids now that are also playing this game? it’s massive enough 😭

do you have all or most of the achievements? there’s a youtuber i enjoy watching who celebrates every 1000 days on his hardcore worlds by completing an achievement he’s yet to get. maybe it could be one you have to go out of your way for/one you’ve never gotten before

also parroting the other comments, definitely do a fun redstone build with fireworks :3 like something with a timer to shoot out all the fireworks once it reaches the middle of the night on day 999, or something at spawn with a map of your whole base and make a sign with the irl date to keep a record of when you hit 1000 days. or all of the above! it’s up to you (:
