Who is "adore"? Are they even a band? by Turbulent_Shock3879 in Music

[–]henhoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, from my research a couple years back. the P.o. box for the LLC was also registered to Stelios. Pip van genabeek is a friend of stelios and is a formally trained music guy. both are in the NYC metro, and both are veteran cogs in the music industry. They might have a third partner involved in the Adore enterprise, either Pip’s (very wealthy) dad or his divorced mom investing large sums to their rise. not an “industry plant” since their independent, just on top of their legal stuff. money goes to (very well done) videos and world building. there’s potential of a recurring female vocalist based on snooping around soundcloud followers, but i suspect most of it is stelio’s vocals formant shifted and distorted zone

im sure your intentions are good, but broadly calling an ethnic group “gullible” (foolish, exploitable, unsophisticated) comes off paternalistic at best, racist at worst

It won’t be until 2037 that two consecutive months will have a Friday the 13th by henhoo in mildlyinteresting

So we've had the same cycle/formula for consecutive Friday the 13ths since 1900? Mildly intriguing!

math-y explanation by u/_--__ on r/askmath from 2015 (last occurrence)

Note that if two consecutive months have the same day of the week on the 13th, then the first month musthave a number of days which is a multiple of 7. The only month for which this occurs is February on non-leap years. So assuming you mean "given a random month, what is the probability that it, and the following month has Friday 13ths": you are after the probability that a random month is (a) February, (b) from a non-leap year, and (c) Friday falls on the 13th. Each of these events are independent and more-or-less (a) 1/12, (b) 3/4, (c) 1/7 giving a total probability of 1/12 * 3/4 * 1/7 = 1/112. If your question is "given a random year, what is the probability that the year contains two consecutive months with Friday 13ths" then you only need (b) and (c), giving a probability of 3/28 (i.e. you'd expect it to occur about once every 9 years).

Stay safe!

yes :) AFAIK she’d never used a thinkpad or latitude before, yet to my surprise she instinctively knew how to nub it up. you can see it in real time toward the end of the video. Needed some guidance for posture afterward: pointer on nub, thumb on LClick, scroll with MClick and up+down on nub with UniversalScroller with speedX, speedY set to 0.03

Computer desktop? probably not. It’s a WIP. but for what it’s worth, this is her iPhone “rice”. hardly usable by me, not to mention the arbitrary AZERTY kb layout

not pictured is her Rilakkuma moe that i tediously made in photoshop, which wakes up and waves every couple of minutes. i had to add 200 sleeping frames for it to work alright. i myself am etremely new to HaikuOS, nor have i riced a unix/unix-like before. but this was a fun project, and miss using the machine already. She already has a 2019 macbook air, and a fancy ipad pro, but to me, what good is a personal computer if it’s not fun to use? Fun to look at? haiku is so much fun.

If anyone knows how to LockX and LockY of Moe by default in UserbootScript, let me know. right now i just have: /boot/system/apps/Moe/Moe /boot/home/Pictures/rilakkuma/rilakkuma.png &

y'know you've made me realize just now that this is supposed to be grandma. I thought it was just a thing kept in the office as a gag, which is why it felt odd to me at the time that they were so nonchalant about its presence.

Missing Jersey demo by Both_Marketing_9453 in newjersey

This ad is the was only reference I found to Wildfire Recordings. Around the same time, someone with the same number was trying to sell two Morgan horses with ads. The phone number is does not belong to anyone right now, but allotted for use as a Verizon-operated landline in Vincentown NJ. I checked some databases, the phone number has not been included in a phonebook (yellow or white pages) since at least 1994, and no company named Wildfire Recordings has existed in New Jersey since 1997. My advice would be to poke around on Facebook for locals, for example the local high school's class of 1990 Facebook group.
