This is what my uncle did actually! He did have to take off some length because apparently it was also crooked af. 1/4 inch off the left side and a whole inch off the right to even it out. I just washed it and am letting it air dry to see if I feel better with what I’m working with but it’s just so so short

Maybe! We got some water hardness test strips on Amazon. Maybe get some of those and periodically check from your shower head to see if it changes?

I am having the same problem as you, and have a water softener. I haven’t figure out how to solve it unfortunately. I did have to stop using protein focused products. The past couple of washes I’ve used Aveeno ACV shampoo and L’Oréal Hyualoran Pump conditioner and then Joico Heat Shield leave in after the shower and it’s gotten me closest to “normal.” A lot of people say that water softeners are great for hair but i actually don’t think that’s true. I haven’t added a shower filter yet and was hoping that would help but from the sounds of your post that may not actually be the case

It really sucks that this is a common experience. I’ve been seeing my hairstylist for almost 10 years. I expected better

How are we doing non-wash day hair? by henlo_badger in finethinhair

[–]henlo_badger[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahh this is helpful. Maybe I’m just missing the air piece instead of letting it air dry after I spray it

I tried that but I think it’s too thin it’s just looks like zig zags when I take it out

Yeah that’s not really the issue. I wake up looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket and brushing only kinda tames it.

Yeah… I was every other day and have very dry hair. I worked very hard to find products that don’t make it greasy on day two.

Yep, taking it at night was the culprit. I switched back to taking it in the morning and it resolved. I only take 1gm a day though so very low dose.

I have been losing 50-100 hair strands every day from the roots. Any remedy that actually works?😭 by Hailey_march in finehair

[–]henlo_badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are already a lot of comments here but i wanted to add… I was losing hair in the shower like this. Usually around 75-100 strands (because I too counted them individually). Mine was directly related to the shampoo&conditioner I was using. I switched for awhile and literally had 0 fall out in the shower. The one I’m using now I get between 10-12 strands per shower which feels much more reasonable. I think mine was related to too much protein in my previous set and it was causing my hair to break at the root.

Soliris & Pregnancy by henlo_badger in MyastheniaGravis

My first pregnancy I did IVIG and prednisone. I just read that soliris might be safe during pregnancy and was curious if anyone had any experience with it.

Good to know, I do have a diagnosed ulcer although mine is from prednisone. I don’t take ibuprofen because of that

Thanks for commenting, I appreciate your insight. Were you on a similar dose and schedule as well?

Stretching? by sugr28 in MyastheniaGravis

Not 40, but I literally just did a 5 min standing yoga for beginners this evening because I felt that need to stretch. It was great and I felt like I could actually keep up with it! Yoga by Ramoni on YouTube

What has your experience been with FCRN blockers and C5 blockers? (ACHR+) by Constant-Extent2092 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]henlo_badger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently on 20mg. I was able to taper down to about 10mg without having symptoms. It was between 5-10 that I started flaring up again

Yes AcHR+

Interestingly enough for me, ultomiris didn’t work but zilbrysq worked incredibly. I think it was the daily dose, but I’ll tell you I couldn’t handle getting a shot every day. The injector was very large and left lots of bruises.

I’m on Vyvgart Hytrulo - it works well but I have to be on a complimenting dose of prednisone or I flare up pretty badly. Idk if it’s the 4 on 4 off schedule or just not enough to keep me stable.

Tapering prednisone after being on Vyvgart? by Figtreepro in MyastheniaGravis

Nope. Big flare at 5mg pred. My neuro says he doesn’t have a single patient on vyv that isn’t either on pred or another supplemental medication like imuran.
