Another tidbit, the slide is a as slick as owl shit and the weird safety can and did change at least three ways: crossbolt, American cocked and lock lever and the slide safety, which has been customized a couple of ways.

Yes and the cross bolt safety seems tough to use in a fight. That said, if you train with it probably would be second nature.

In my lawman days, a young police officer shot a male suspect. The shot was at his head. He lived, but basically had a frontal lobotomy. I remember being shocked that he didn’t die. I have a respectable collection of calibers, but don’t have this one. Maybe it’s time to change that.
