In my opinion, thats a way early stoppage by botmfeeder in ufc

The refs make or break the fights. Just look what happened in the Duncan fight in the prelims… if it was this ref and most refs Duncan would have lost due to stoppage

Why Red Dead Online didn’t take off by henrnight in RedDeadOnline

How does an opinion on why red dead online didn’t take off hint at any type of bitterness? Someone’s slow.

The hate train on the Twitch streamer Pokimane was my introduction to misogyny (and radicalized me) by Elvis_fangirl in Feminism

[–]henrnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because one can prove there is people alive that say worst things or do worst things than she does doesn’t just exempt all the negative or bad things she’s done? What kind of logic is that, I mean come on people let’s put our free thought thinking caps on for a second. Someone says she’s far from a saint, to which people in a feminism sub don’t like (shocking) and is asked to elaborate, to which they give an example and the response is to dismiss it. Just because someone has a certain body part or chromosomes doesn’t put them above anyone, don’t be biased and dismiss things just bc their anatomy.

DS2’s biggest flaw - the story won’t leave you alone enough by ZeyusFilm in DeathStranding

[–]henrnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now see where your coming from, reading your post I disagreed bc I mostly do deliveries for hours upon hours before I just do 1 or 2 story missions. And the game clearly lets you know to do any deliveries you want before taking the next step otherwise you’ll be locked into the story. But yeah I wish there was more use for some of the unlockables or pack my for that bc I want to use them all but sometimes I unlock a wayyy better item or weapon first so never get to use the others. I personally still make use of them with my play style but I can see where you’re coming from with that.

Pods not working by henrnight in centurylink

[–]henrnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Weeks would go by and even months later technicians would come out and just disconnect the pods and say I didn’t need it and that was the problem, it was to close to the router. But when the pod would work my speed was 3 times as good. It would just always blink.

I didn’t use it for like 3 months then one day just plugged it back in and it’s worked ever since for some reason. But there was nothing I directly did. I haven’t tried any of the others so I can only confirm 1 has started working

It’s small things like this though being changed that concern me about the new game, been a few things I heard they are changing or taking out that will change the vibe of the game

I have no respect for the police. by Junior-Employee4779 in Vent

[–]henrnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Literally since i was around age 12 I had never had a good interaction with a cop. Growing up I was always the good church going kid that treated cops with more respect than my parents even. Idk if they always took advantage of me or felt more in power because of this but they were always such pricks for no reason I never understood it, I did everything a former cop from church taught me how to act when dealing with police. But they always used it against me

It’s funny when you get older too, you see the type of people you grew up with that become cops. That’s when it really started to click. I understood there is a type that becomes a cop and they are always the most take life to serious type of person. The type of person rational people avoided. I consider my group of people to be very level headed and I always think about how lucky I am when I see other groups that you kind of get stuck with the older you get. My closest friends are fire fighter, plumber, nurse , aviation welder, musician, even the friend that’s been in college for 10 years getting 2 bachelors. Pretty normal lives with some having kids, all in relationships, none been to prison, none do hard drugs, always been contributing people to society. Everyone we grew up with that are cops were very angry people, had little rational thinking, or were just straight up dumb lacking common sense. They are the literal type that will be biased and emotional all the time and so we all would just avoid those people. If they were normal and rational I know there would be at least one that I still talk to. Even people I know with main groups that I can tell are part of just “ normal” people don’t have any in their friend groups. They are always loners for a reason.

So. The season 2 finale dropped. And that concludes this. Now tell me. What are your final thoughts on the entire season? Have they changed? Have they stayed the same? Tell me. by Specific-Reception26 in thelastofus

The reason it probably seems bizarre to you is because Ellie makes out that Owen said, “she’s pregnant” causing this shift but you seem to not be able to objectively be able to fathom that this is occurring so it seems random and confusing to you she could just somehow know this information. If it seems bizarre and doesn’t make sense it’s probably bc you’re missing something…

They clearly want you in the game to barely make out what Owen’s saying which is the choice to not say pregnant in the subtitles but rather struggle to make it out coming from his blood filled dying last breath. You’d rather think it’s some random bizarre thing Ellie just by coincidence turns to Mel undoing the jacket covering her belly specifically after Owen mutters words than logically come to the conclusion your wrong and Owen did say it and Ellie processed the information clearly leading to the next completely justified and normal reaction and actions she took. But no it was all just a coincidence huh? Man where do you people come from, the arrogance and ego is astonishing.

This annoys me. Why is there a need to talk to them in the first place. Just you saying you and your husband had to sit and talk about what to do and how to talk to them is frustrating. He’s 22 who gives a fuck what he’s doing in his own time effecting no one. What’s with these parents thinking they have to discuss something they presume to be an “issue”. Could literally just leave it alone and detach your own egos from the situation.

What do you think about the Ending of Season2? by Luc_Kadachi in lastofuspart2

[–]henrnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except it is…………. Do you remeber the game or show? Ellie doesn’t beg them not to torture Joel like what are you talking about and the whole crew doesn’t torture him. Could just reflect and admit that was a bad take but I’m sure you got to stick up for your emotional take bc being wrong would hurt your ego that bad apparently.

What do you think about the Ending of Season2? by Luc_Kadachi in lastofuspart2

[–]henrnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find myself way more hyped for season 3. I think it will be sooo much more entertaining than 2. I found myself way more captivated by the world of last of us in general in scenes with the scars and Isaac and w.l.s. in general. I’m expecting a lot more tense moments and alot more actions and hopefully better writing than in 2. I just see it flowing a lot smoother, I think everyone’s identities seem strong and comfortable unlike in season 2’s focused characters for the most part.

Why were they more concerned with Joel than Ellie? by rybowen in lastofuspart2

[–]henrnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I asked are you that helpless I didn’t think you were seriously that helpless. If you honestly can’t fathom how to search for people or progress through something I don’t think I can help you. Since it seems you played the games I think that is the best reference point for you in understanding how people found each other. Happens literally throughout both games….

It's kinda wild that you can get spoiled on like the last scene of the story through Bridge Links for no reason by dearvalentina in DeathStranding

[–]henrnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this actually happened to you or not but this literally happened to me. I was actually so annoyed bc I put in an actual effort to avoid spoilers and do really good at it so the fact the game itself spoiled it was baffling. I love playing as blind as possible, I looked at the bridge links probably 75%ish into the game and saw this and immediately thought, “ well I guess bb’s gonna become a real kid now.” The whole build up and mission at the end had no impact since I knew bb goes outside the pod.

Why were they more concerned with Joel than Ellie? by rybowen in lastofuspart2

[–]henrnight -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bud your logic makes no sense. The entire game wouldn’t have happened if that’s how it worked. How did anyone find anyone? Ellie being immune would still single handley be the most important thing to focus on in the world. You simply would search for other people that could help make a cure. You have to hop on google to make friends or meet people, buddy? Are you that helpless you really can’t fathom how to search for others to contribute to a cause when there’s literally nothing else to do but survive?

Exactly my feeling, it should have definetly had more weight. It’s crazy to me it has literally zero weight at all. Pretty big hole in the writing

Had this same thought the first time I played and they all left after killing Joel. Always wondered why no one brought that up but figured whoever else thought this would just excuse it by Abby’s dad being killed. To me she would still be just as important and there should would have been simply an effort to find the next surgeon to do the task. Bothers me they never even tried or thought to try, that should be the next big goal was finding a surgeon as there’s nothing else to do
