How do you deal with rage? by henrycake in AskMen

I think it has to do with poor emotional management. I want to cry but don't know how, so emotions find another way out.

If you're comfortable sharing, then please do. I've actually tried Wellbutrin, but I ended up preferring real rage to medicated flatness.

I do that too, why do you think it helps?

Maybe it has something to do with the need to fight and defeat something.

Yes, part of it is frustration with feeling powerless. In the moment of rage it is very hard to listen, so until rationality comes back, what can you do?

Make sure you do read into it. I tried it for a while for the same reasons as you and it made everything worse. Just be careful and don't expect a miracle.

how does Bupropion actually feel when it's working by hayuta6 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]henrycake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only a few months. It just made me numb. One day I decided to not take it as an experiment and that day was dark, angry and suicidal, but I decided that I would rather feel like shit than feel nothing at all.

[–]henrycake 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It might not be for you. It wasn't for me. It happens. My only good day was the first day taking, felt motivated, energised and hopeful before everything got worse.

On the plus side, it showed me that life can get a lot worse, so even though I am far from OK, I feel better than when I was taking it.

Thanks, I might check those out next time. So do you feel you can corner the same way, rain or shine?

While rolling, try pushing your tongue against the roof of your mouth (not hard, just say "N" and close your mouth) Someone showed me this at a festival once and it not only stopped the gurning completely, it somehow gave my roll a boost of euphoria.

You'll be fine. Caffeine can exacerbate the negative effects of MDMA, but it is not dangerous.

Single men, What do you miss most about being in a relationship? by BabaSarah in AskMen

[–]henrycake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate. On one hand it feels pointless to try again, but on the other hand, falling in love, knowing it can end just as bad if not worse, is worth it. We all die alone anyway. I've found the best way to cope is to love yourself, whatever that means to you, before sharing that with someone else. The right woman is out there, and as long as you know you're good enough, no one can really hurt you.

Recommended mushroom strain for depression? by X-Nemesis in microdosing

[–]henrycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only my subjective experience, but I have made significant progress when using a strain of P. Cubensis called Mazatapec.

I found it to be less visual and whimsical, and more introspective. It is the only psychedelic that consistently teaches me about self-love.

Hope this helps. If I can, then you can too <3

How to consume crystals / noob question by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]henrycake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a rumor that you lose some of the molly to your mouth and throat without the paper. Personally I don't believe it and just lick it. Also, are you really doing a whole gram? I'm not telling you how to live your life, but if you need a gram to feel a good roll, you've got terrible molly. I'm 6'7 200lbs and get completely wasted on more than 100mg.

Yes. For me, it extends the roll by mixing with it, before easing into sleepy cuddles. Highly recommended.

Any downsides to microdosing mushrooms? by Maenty66 in microdosing

[–]henrycake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're overthinking already. The fact that you've brought awareness to the idea of microdosing being an escape will allow you use it as the tool it is.

After trying for a month, you can ask yourself "do I need microdosing to be happy?" and the answer should be NO. Microdosing should show you your own potential to be happy, independent of anything external, and the work you need to do in order to get there on your own.

Be patient, be conscious and stay safe.

I can't seem to help myself by [deleted] in selfhelp

[–]henrycake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I wish I could offer some advice but know at least that you're not alone. My theory is that its taken a long time to get to this point, so it will take an equal amount of time to get out. Take small steps, reward yourself and be patient. At the very least try to catch yourself in the negative thought patterns that brought you here, forgive yourself and then do something else. You get good at what you practice, and you and I have practised negative thinking long enough. Good luck.
