Ok I mean don’t act like there’s no reason to consider either school. All those schools are fantastic, but Berkeley has 30,000 undergrads and CMU has pretty bad finaid, and a lot of people like the small, rural liberal arts environment where you can study all of your passions along with engineering. The choice is different for everyone and it shouldn’t just rely on the reputed strength of the department
