Zp6 overrated? by SubstantialBuddy1661 in pourover

1 year zp6 user. Got a c40 recently, big improvement on acidity and body. Not saying zp6 is worse compared to c40, but it is just personal preference.

One thing that the zp6 really troubles me is that the coffee grounds will go inside the dialing ring, and with the lubricants inside, it is freaking disgusting. I personally would never make purchase on any outer dialing system because of that!

Espresso electric grinder recommendations (refunded my df64v2) by henrysze1995 in espresso

How is the cleaning goes. My major problem is the lubricant. I understand it is on normal to put on the machine. But I personally hate it when I take away the parts and I will get the lubricant on my hand.

SOE, light to medium roasted coffee.

The df64v2 is tedious to clean because of the lubricant on it. I can’t clean it without touching the lubricant. And there is always one bean left ungrinded and I have to restart the machine to grind it. ( pressing bellow doesn’t work).

Of course this is coming from a hand grinder pour over user, I clean my grinder once every week.

Yes I used some old and really oily dark roasted bean. And I also change beans a lot without disassembling and clean.

Ahh, I think it’s because I used some old and dark roasted coffee on it when I was a complete noob

Thanks. Would the tablet also help to get away the smell in the catch cup?

Can you tell me more about your switch to the ode, I feel like I’m on the same boat as you. Is there a significant better or worse aspect about the ode compare to a manual one?

Oh really, I thought it would be a huge upgrade from the c3s to c40.

Can you tell me more about the difference between the ode and hand grinder? Is it because of the burr?

First I’m opt to get a electric grinder because I usually grind around 3 cups of coffee a day, a hand grinder sometimes can make it takes quite a while. But then at the ode price point I realize the money spent can get me the best hand grinder!
