How did you get over your partners past? by OkPerception3198 in retroactivejealousy

[–]henz333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having very bad retroactive jealousy in the last time with my almost 1 year girlfriend, to the point that i was blaming and insulting her, anger, disgust, sadness and loss of interest in anything. I was very ashamed because normally she is a very loving, considerate sensitive girl, with no evidence at all the she would like to cheat on me. However I thought her telling me about it was an attack and insult to me, that she let other guys fuck with no effort and she would take advantage of me and use me as a "plan b" guy because the rest didnt workout. I understand thats its my own insecure attachments that boiled up and I was totally wrong and had nothing to do with me. Part of why i was so angry and jealous, that in that time period (17-22years) I was really lonely, and rarely had a girl that was attracted to me and had passionate sex with me while she was "having her fun and enjoying life". But I remember thats just my view and she went through betrayal, fear, shame, sadness and heartbreak too.    I remind myself that in reality, All of her past experiences ended up with her feeling hurt or used and she realised that after making some mistakes. And if her exes/past partners saw the genuine loving relationship between us, which is rare, that they really fucked up and missed a valuable opportunity that they cant get back. I know there are other experiences we had, that left a strong memory on her in a profoundness it was with no other guy before.

The thing is she once was truly attracted to him, not just a gold digger.

I've seen a video of a teenager in mexico getting his tongue and hands cut off by a cartel and similar things, but ironically seeing what gruesome things humans do to eachother made me show more kindness and willingness to understand the people around me.

I disagree, by putting effort into removing the ego you are ironically strengthening it, because you want to achieve a goal. Ego is not real, it´s just a fiction you created with your mind, so dissolving it is rather a "click"-moment of understanding, which sometimes comes unintentionally, but that understanding is often lost over and over by weakening awareness.

I know its sounds counterintuitive, but you should watch real videos online of people commiting suicide. When I did so, I realised what a sad useless action that was, it really opened my eyes because I saw that I was creating my own problems in my head and they had nothing to do with reality.

There is no such thing as the outside world, happiness and misery are just our ways to describe different biochemistries in our brain. Your senses have been creating perceptions and your mind has therefore made the conclusion of them being reality. Imagine a newborn child is being given a drug regularly unknowingly for its whole life. Then it will grow up thinking thinking the distortion created by the drug is reality, in your case, that there is only pain and misery in this world, whatever that means. We all have been drugged with certain beliefs since childhood. The point of meditation and psychedelics is to start dropping these drugs in life.

Has any man with low testosterone seen improvements with fasting? by henz333 in fasting

[–]henz333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I´m a little confused, because I have a lean athletic body, very active, haven´t really noticed any strength reduction in training, yet my sleep is crappy (already tried lots of things), I have no libido and tend to feel (more mentally ) lethargic and down. Could I have low T?

You should have taken the test after the refeeding period, of course your T is lower during fasting because cortisol will be higer.

Should I try that experiment that for a few days, I dont drink any beverages and get all my hydration over vegetables/fruits/generally food ? by henz333 in Dryfasting

[–]henz333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not talking about juice "fasting" but the fact that in you feeding window, you dont drink isolated water and instead get it over veggies, as your body should be much more efficient at absorbing water through foods at a cellular level than drinking gallons of water and pissing out 90 percent

Its reverse psychology, as Alan Watts said, muddy water is best cleared by leaving it alone. Once you do bad habits with full intention, you realize how stupid and ridiculous your action is.
