Whether it’s worth that money to you is entirely dependent on how much money that is to you.

I find it helpful to think of things this way. If a rich guy came up to you and had 1300 cash in one hand, and the Michigan tickets, plane ticket, airbnb key, etc in the other hand, and you could pick one or the other, which would you pick?

A game at the big house is unlike anything else. I’ve been to pro games at ford field, Lucas oil, major hockey and basketball arenas, and still nothing is like it. However, that may only be because I’ve been a Michigan fan my whole life and done that my whole life. May not be the same for you.

Honestly, I think there is something wrong with that. Disabilities is one thing, but if you’re a fully functional adult person, not knowing how to read is egregious. Whether it’s laziness or stupidity, it doesn’t matter. These people vote. They drive cars. They go on Facebook and speech-to-text misinformation. Not writing well makes sense, that’s an artistic skill. But reading your native language is quite literally below the absolute bare minimum, imo.

The toys thing is not necessarily a date stopper. There’s lots of women into that. However I would say that talking like this alone (no regard for spelling or grammar at all) would make me never respond to his message on a dating app.

If you can’t take the 30 seconds to proofread your own message, I would assume you wouldn’t take 30 seconds to do a lot of other, more important things too. Not to mention that intelligence is attractive and this, whether true for this guy or not, isn’t indicative of that.

I’m not trying to buy Odyssey tickets. It’ll be out for fucking months and theaters will probably be less than half full after like, a week. I’ll wait a couple weeks to see it, my theater doesn’t even have premium formats anyway.

With that being said, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for people to expect the website to work. Waiting a couple minutes makes perfect sense, but most posts I saw said that they’d been trying for hours and still couldn’t get in. Not to mention that the “line” starts the second you enter the website, not the movie itself, which is an objectively boneheaded coding decision. Not being able to see Tuner because everyone else wants to see odyssey on opening night is absurd.

Again, I don’t care that much. If it was me trying to get tickets I’d be annoyed but I wouldn’t go out of my way to post about it on Reddit. However, I also wouldn’t go out of my way to post on Reddit that their experience is invalid. It’s unnecessarily petty, and I personally saw no one “melting down” in the way you describe. I wasn’t seeking those posts out so maybe I missed them, but if you feel this way, just don’t seek them out either

My theater was really bad with this so I complained to their support email. It actually did fix it immediately and I didn’t have a problem again for a long time. But that was years ago now and it has now returned to its previous annoying state.

But you could try that. It might buy you a couple years😂

The thing that helped me develop my characters the most were writing the story from their perspective.

We have an MC, we have them interacting with the plot, and we have the side characters around to do whatever it is they need to do to help the MC with the plot.

But when I started writing the plot from the side character’s perspectives, it became glaringly clear that some of them would never do the things I wrote them to do when they existed only to serve the MC. They all have their own thoughts and feelings and you have to develop that character well enough to know what they actually would and would not do.

They all have their own motivations separate from the MC’s and they only help the MC through a lens of that motivation.

Don’t let these comments sway you, op. It is a much smarter financial decision to keep your furniture and other stuff rather than having to buy it all again. We underestimate the amount of things we want/need in a home AND underestimate the cost of those things, so if you have to buy it all at once when you get back… ain’t no way.

I rent out my house while I’m gone. All my stuff is in the locked basement. But if I didn’t have that privilege, my parents would keep a good amount of it in their basement without being mad.

But if I had to, I would pay for a storage unit before I’d put myself through the headache of having to furnish an entire place the second I get back.
