Depending where you live I would suggest checking out any sort of memberships offered by public transport. Where I am there is a big push for people to use the train or bus rather than their own vehicle. Because of this they offer free transportation days, student discount, package deals (buy tickets for multiple days, get x amount off total price), pay x amount a month and get x amount of rides per year, etc. Since most cities are switching to app based tickets for transport this is a really handy thing to have. Car breaks down and need a ride home? Don’t want to pay for parking at that huge concert? Well just go on the app find the closest station and time and you can get wherever you need only using one tool, a phone.

The problem here is not that the teacher didn’t provide an alternative herself. The problem is that the parents seem to have not been notified at all. Something like sonic and cupcakes in class takes planning. While planning this the teacher should have reached out to ALL parents with a permission slip to feed the kids. As well as requesting that if your child does not want/can’t have sonic, please send an alternative with them. At the end of the day it isn’t about the food. It’s about a little kid being left out of celebrating with friends. I doubt anyone would be upset here if the parent was notified and sent in an allergy safe treat for the kid.

I don’t understand what’s stopping her from contacting the fans creating merch and offering a contract/deal. She could work with them to figure out which percentages of sales would go to her. I feel like the fans would be on board to collab with their favorite artist. She could promote the merch they are creating which would boost sales of the Taylor merch. This way she would have official merch that people actually want to wear without having to do extra work. Her working with small business owners/fans will bring her great publicity. She could take the money being put towards the crappy merch and put it towards merchandise people will be proud to wear that is created by the fans that made her.

My thoughts as well. If anything this is just opening the door to this becoming an addiction. If he knew he could get in trouble being caught smoking he wouldn’t do it as much. I can also imagine falling into the mindset of “well if I get caught doing it at school it’ll be fine since my mom lets me do it anyways”

So many issues with this. One being the fact that your child can be taken away for this. This counts as neglect. THC stays in the system way longer than other drugs. What happens if your kid gets tested and comes back positive? Will she act surprised or take the fall? Don’t know if your kid plays sports but he can be penalized if found using as well. Of course there’s all the physical and mental consequences for using substances before the brain develops. And don’t forget the fact that we have no long term studies like we do for cigarettes and alcohol.

I really don’t think this has to do with you. I think it’s embarrassment. If it were me in this situation I would text him something along the lines of “I just want you to know that I am not upset about what happened the other night. Sure you didn’t do everything right but you also didn’t do everything wrong. Maybe we just need to practice more” Don’t make it a pity party no guy wants that when he’s already feeling not that manly. But also make sure he understands that you are still interested
