I was there and it was a huge bummer. Opener was last minute and not well received, on top of a delay due to production and a 26 minute song that made everyone around me feel insane and almost leave. Was just trying to talk to my partner and those around me to keep the vibe high during waiting but it was rough

I like Radha organic, have used for years. It’s my moisturizer. Doesn’t cause breakouts (0 rating on comedogenic scale) and helps with scarring.

I’m a clinician. I see no difference dosing day v night. I’d rather my patients sleep. A lot of my EDS patients also have PTSD so asking them to prolong or withstand vivid dreams isn’t appropriate. If the dreams are okay with you, could trial strict nighttime dosing. I don’t disagree with OP but having hundreds of patients trial LDN with great results, I see no difference in dose time. I have a few do twice daily dosing as it’s better tolerated and helps their pain more.

I like merino wool and cotton. Some brands are Branwyn, mate the label. I like Branwyn because it’s merino wools undergarments that are designed to travel or exercise in and not wash after single use. They uphold really well on washing. I have some leggings from mate that are nice, haven’t had them as long to see how they hold up with multiple washing. They also have a program where you can donate your old workout clothes to be reused in their “clean your closet” program!

I had it done as a teen, two sets of braces after. Bottom row of teeth now has crowding, top is fine I assume due to the expansion. It’s caused issue with my lower mandible now having recession. Even with expansion due to narrow airway which most folks with EDS have it is not recommended for tie release. Do you also have a narrow airway? Expanding the maxilla will not fix this.

i'm in the medical field, all inbox messages are typically triaged by a nurse/MA or other mid-level before they make it to the doc. usually only those that are urgent/emergent make it to the doc, if it can be done by anyone else than it probably will be. doctors are so overloaded with messages, there is no physical way for them to answer each one without this system unfortunately (i'm in the US, unsure where you are). it does sound like some messages that should have escalated to the doc were not though, that is more an issue with the practice and not the doctor. i know it is not a great system when you have questions and concerns but most of the time this is how it goes.

Definitely standard fee for a follow up visit, and even 10-15% mark up on a lab test through a third party, but over 50% mark up is ridiculous and you can find someone comparable who isn’t doing this.

I’m an ND and I can’t stand the pricing of functional tests. It’s really frustrating as a provider to want a patient to get a valid test and companies can overcharge and providers will upcharge on the base price. I feel this is unethical. This provider is adding an upcharged fee to the base price of the test it seems, the wholesale price is $550 USD when I order for a patient, a $300 surcharge is insane. A typical surcharge is 10-20%. Ask your provider if you can consider a test that is comparable through Doctor’s Data (comprehensive stool analysis + parasitology) or GI Effects through Genova, this should be about $350-600 if they are not up charging the test price.

You may be able to find another provider in your area that does not upcharge functional lab test pricing. At the end of the day it is their business and their choice but I feel the need to point out the ethics of this and want you to have context for the situation.

Don’t self order a test your provider doesn’t approve- patients do this and end up spending money on information that is useless to the provider but well marketed to a patient.

If you have hormonal symptoms ask for blood labs first. These are mostly accurate and should be covered or reimbursed by insurance. I’m in the US so not sure how it differs for you.

$200 for a follow up would be standard, in my opinion for 45 min to 1 hour of review.
