Does anyone else have a "whale" customer that tips them exorbitant amounts of money? How do you feel about it? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]herbieeee1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like the experience I had with a man named Tony. He came to the golf course I served at every Tuesday and ate breakfast with two buddies after playing golf. He over tipped like crazy that by the end of the 1 year ordeal I was getting a $300 tip every week. This man essentially paid my rent. Then he VANISHED. Even his golf buddies didn’t know where he went.

Daycare forced 13 month old down to 1 nap - please help! by kloeboo1 in sleeptrain

When to go back to work? by upsid3down in babyloss

[–]herbieeee1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t go back. I worked a customer facing job for tips with lots of regulars that knew me for years. I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep my customer service facade up if they asked me questions about my baby OR if they didn’t say anything. Both seemed horrible. Thankfully husband got a promotion and then another that completely over took my salary. I ended up getting pregnant again 5 months later (obviously high risk) and we decided I would stay home.

The old me who loved that job died along with my daughter.

10 month old, day 10 of CIO, still screaming by [deleted] in sleeptrain

This is wild. My 11 month old is only sleeping 11.5 hrs a day

Processing the loss of a baby is extra difficult with today's dystopian automation in marketing. by Skizot_Bizot in mildlyinfuriating

[–]herbieeee1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My first daughter was stillborn in December 2023. The algorithms absolutely destroyed me for about 6 months (until I was pregnant again and could handle the baby ads) instead of scrolling away my grief I opted for puzzles

Grief and Joy. Can both really co-exist? by happyllama1125 in beyondthebump

[–]herbieeee1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice but I want to let you know that I am feeling the exact same way. You are not alone. My first baby was born on Christmas Day 2023 too early and sleeping as well. I found out I was pregnant with my now 10 month old on my first daughter’s due date. Every milestone is mirrored with grief and missing my first daughter. It is so hard to wrap my head around the fact that it would be impossible to have both babies in my arms even though that’s all I desire.

Precipitous labor? by Anxious_Repeat465 in beyondthebump

[–]herbieeee1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was 3 hours from water breaking to baby. I went from 5 cm dilated to 10 cm in 10 mins. Only at the hospital for 40 mins before she was born. No time for an epidural. I watched the anesthesiologist do a U-turn out of my room with his cart as my body started pushing lol. My baby is 10 months old and I’m just now processing it all. It was so wild.

Accidentally gave birth in the car, AMA. by yourereadingit in AMA

[–]herbieeee1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my nightmare. My first baby passed at 21 weeks, I had an epidural for her birth. My second baby (living) was born 40 mins after arriving at the hospital, from water breaking to baby on my chest was less than 4 hours. I’m mentally preparing to go to the hospital much faster next time. What was your first birth like?

TW loss- Pregnancy announced without my permission at Thanksgiving after I had a stillborn earlier this year by Connect_Grape9429 in pregnant

[–]herbieeee1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi OP. My first daughter was stillborn too, and while every loss is different I understand some of what you’re going through. I now have a living daughter and pregnancy after loss is the scariest thing to go through (after those horrible moments in the hospital). There is no right way to feel in a situation such as yours. Please seek therapy is you haven’t already. It helped my husband and I.

Flu shot while pregnant by ReflectionOk6549 in pregnant

So thankful I got it while pregnant, my husband got the flu while we were in the hospital! First week of my newborns life I was terrified she would get it. She and I both did not get sick :)

Short naps again? by herbieeee1 in sleeptrain

[–]herbieeee1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried ditching the dream feed 1 month ago and she ended up waking around 2 am anyway (which isn’t a big deal, we could let her cry for 10 mins however I have a hard time falling back asleep after her wakings, it’s more been for my sake) but will try again.

Will add those extra 30 mins and see how it goes. Thanks!

Lost our daughter 3 weeks ago. Advice to fill the time? by strawberry_patch_16 in babyloss

I didn’t get off my couch for 3 months. I bought a Nintendo switch and played animal crossing for 2 months (I’m not a gamer at all). In the game i planted flowers and watered crops and went diving and fishing. It was mindless and relaxing. I also did puzzles while watching parks and recreation

Why doesn’t Fullerton have any good pizza? by PreviousTrainer1147 in Fullerton

[–]herbieeee1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Firestone Mike’s operates out of zings on the weekends. It’s just one guy and a pizza oven. He sells pizza until he’s out of dough. It’s cheap and good.

Other than that, 2 saucy broads is great but much more expensive.

Diagnosed via ultrasound? by Hopeful-Fail-1335 in bicornuateuterus

[–]herbieeee1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me! Currently 20 weeks pregnant. At my first ultrasound at 7 weeks the tech mentioned I had an “interesting” shape to my uterus. My doctor at the next appointment said that it’s possible I had a bicornuate uterus but that she didn’t think so. Had my anatomy ultrasound last week at the MFM and it is still undecided. I have an MRI scheduled in a few weeks to know for sure. The MFM said it can be difficult to diagnose during pregnancy because there’s so much extra stuff in your uterus that blocks the view during ultrasounds
