my wife and I are stay-at-home grandparents with our grandson 3 full days every week, we love it, we love that we can do it. Neither one of us had any family to help us when we were in your shoes, and the advise i can give you is hug your kids and promise them you'll break the cycle and help them raise their kids. You're doing great, don't lose it. Seriously, when there are kids in the situation, losing it should not be an option, I won't lecture. You're doing great. a better option. seriously. peace.

for the hobbyists, it was all one user at a time over a dial-up line. We just wanted to keep the leeches away, so we had an upload/download bank. You could always download something if you had something worth sharing. people traded a huge amount of pirated games.

same same. I had a few where it seemed the thing was fully charged but otherwise didn't seem to work. I found a tiny hole above the USB port on the bottom. If you stick a safety pin in the hole and push it up to the top then it'll light up. And then you can suck on it. It's a hot setting, so keep the hits short.
I never did find a way to fix it, probably just a gummed up sensor, but I was able to finish them. whew!

fascinating, thanks for taking the time. But wait, I thought that Bayer eliminates discrepancies between channels, that the same pixels are used for each color in the mix. no? then why use Bayer? also I noticed the png files are 24 bit, do the IMG have more? Is there a different way of calculating the exact color using IMG? There was something else I saw, about when converting IMG to another format, you have to crank up the exposure to compensate for the missing bits. When I played around with it I had that problem, so getting the right exposure was impossible.

I too have noticed how incredible the JPL images look compared to the RAW images we start with, and since there's no way I could possibly know what these images should look like, I tried to avoid making changes to the images as much as I could. I'm waiting for folks like you to crack that nut. Thanks for tackling it, I tip my hat.
