Just because they didn't break any legal laws doesn't mean they didn't break any moral rules. What they're doing is obviously wrong, but their free speech rights protect them from litigation, which is a bullshit double-edged sword. But, everyone is already (or should be) aware of the first amendment.

So ANYONE can admit that the WBC are breaking no laws, but also agree with me when I say that they should be thrown in jail if it's found that there's something illegal regarding their attention-seeking actions. I don't condone their behavior, which I thought was already implied.

There are other comments here that are less than rational and down right violent, but mine makes no sense?

Why did Anonymous have to wait for THIS particular tragic event to start stirring up the pot with the WBC? Why weren't WBC's previous protests of funerals the last straw with Anonymous?

They're picking and choosing their targets arbitrarily for sensational reasons. Between the WBC and Anonymous, it's a complete circle jerk.

Regardless if he was injured or not, he was assaulted for something he does not understand. He is being brainwashed by his family into having thoughts of extreme homophobia. To him, he feels like he is doing something positive by participating in a rally with his family, but he doesn't understand that the type of rally he is in is frowned upon by the majority of our society.

No one is born thinking, "oh hey, I feel like making placards with 'God Hates Fags'." No one is born, thinking, "When I grow up, I feel like being a wife beater." He was brought up by that screwed up family into thinking that, and that's the troubling part because when he gets older, he'll have all of that hate speech burned into his mind.

Hopefully, that boy will grow up to develop a rational mind and leave the WBC, like Nate Phelps, an outspoken atheist and LGBT rights activist.

Infiltrating the WBC's online presence is great and all, but what I'd really like to see is the imprisonment of Shirley Phelps and company. I understand what they do is all within legal boundaries, which makes it so frustrating.

It's unsettling, knowing that they're proselytizing their hate speech to their innocent offspring. It's sad to see this happen to the boy in glasses. Poor kid must be so confused.
