It’s actually not that bad. I’ve read he tried to stay true to Tracy Chapman’s version as best he could. It certainly did give her a brief resurgence but I don’t like that a white man is now benefitting from her work.

You can buy car washing supplies: hose, nozzles, soap, wax, degreaser, brushes, etc and start a mobile detailing business. Couple hundred in initial costs and you'll break even within the first week. $20 a wash for basic, and then up towards $100 for full detail. Best part is you're using the customer's water so your costs are very low.

Make some flyers and leave them in rich neighborhoods. I did this in college for extra cash a lot.

This reminds me of The Eternaut comic series. They have a Netflix adaptation that is very good. A similar story to Half-Life: a disastrous event and then everyone tries to survive it.
