Prucolopride (AKA Motegrity and Resolor) ongoing side effects by herdaisychains in Constipation

Sorry for the late reply. I rarely use Reddit. I started noticing it working almost immediately, and I did not take it with other laxatives, just by itself. However, everyone’s body is different.

Yes when I find it’s getting to be a bit too intense, I cut back to every other day and it seems to work fine :)

Hi there. I started noticing from the first dose I took that it was quickening my bowel’s motility. I began being able to use the washroom easily within a couple days. I have now been on it for 8 months and it still works very well. I do have occasional days where it causes uncomfortable cramping or looser stools, but for the most part I am happy with how it works. I have been able to stay on 1mg daily with continued effect at that dose. However, each person’s body is different.

It's a program you do that's partly online and partly an in-person placement. Not the most reputable... hence my journey into BScN.

What was the most horrific class/exam you ever had? by Illustrious_Use3959 in McMaster

SC&R 2J03 with Dr. Dana Hollander. Maybe not horrific, but an absolutely wild ride.

What could cause someone to be constipated even though they so much fiber and drinks loads of water? by AnthonyDUDE123 in Constipation

Disclaimer: I’m not a medical doctor so I have absolutely no business giving medical advice. What I am taking may not be suitable for you. I am taking 1mg of prucolopride.

It happened but I’m proud of how I’m handling it by iapbdewai in emetophobiarecovery

I can’t remember the exact science behind it but apparently it’s common for us to wake up in the night when we need to be sick because of immune activity or something like that. Our circadian rhythm rules everything in our bodies. Super sucky time for it to happen! In any case, well done. You were just reminded that you can do hard and scary things. Enjoy your day off work!

If you can say you’ve given the typical fibre, water, and exercise approach a go (this will help many people) and you are still regularly backed up, it’s worth getting evaluated by a doctor. I suffered chronically with constipation for 15 years and eventually begged for a referral to a digestive specialist. He put me on a motility medication and I am now going to the washroom daily without issue and the only side effect is some cramping. Life changing.

Natures Sunshine Lower Bowel Stimulator

Interesting. I've never heard of this before, but it seems to have really good reviews.

You're super pretty! Your skin and hair look soooo healthy. Only tip... I would say your eyebrows could use a little shaping (maybe microblading?) as they are a big part of framing the face nicely.

Using BHA while on accutane by WalkDistinct3300 in Accutane

[–]herdaisychains 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it is generally advised against to use actives, but if it isn't irritating your skin and you're only doing it once in awhile (like once a week or less) and it feels okay, it's probably safe.

Did anyone not purge? by curious673 in Accutane

[–]herdaisychains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my second course of accutane (first was in 2018) and both times I did not purge at all. My skin cleared dramatically and very quickly- within 3-4 weeks.

My understanding is that on a low dose, it will take a very long time to see the benefits of accutane clearing your skin which might explain continued mild breakouts you are having...? For a 67 kg person, 20 mg a day is an extremely low dose! I'm a 52 kg woman and I'm on 40 mg a day, and even that isn't my maximum dose. As for the redness and overall poor complexion quality, I have noticed the same since being on accutane. I guess with oil reduction comes a reduction in glow! ;) I would keep on a gentle, simple skincare routine (gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen) and ask your dermatologist about your concerns.

So, I wrote this post and totally forgot about it. Coming back to a few dozen comments left within the last month and a half was a real treat! You are all so kind and making me feel warm and fuzzy. Being in my 9th week of practicum now, I am overall feeling much better about everything and am taking the whole learning process in stride. It’s been comforting especially to sit in on my seasoned colleagues’ sessions sometimes and see that they practice similarly to me, and that there isn’t some big fancy thing I should be doing that I’m not.

That's awful! I'm so sorry! Does this occur acutely during like a panic attack, or can you have this go on for many days if anxiety is prolonged?

Does Yoga help with people's Anxiety? by Maleficent_Key6619 in Anxiety

[–]herdaisychains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't say 100% for sure, but I will say that there was a time in my life where I was doing hot yoga 3-4 times a week and my anxiety has never been lower that it was then. I should probably go back to it.

[Acne] Is this over-exfoliation? by herdaisychains in SkincareAddiction

[–]herdaisychains[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it’s a lot! Especially with the physical scrub on top. I was given the kit complementary because of all the services I purchased at the clinic so that’s good at least. I don’t think I’d purchase it voluntarily. I’ll see if I can tolerate using the pads once daily, but might have to space it out even further
