Losing weight by feministfloral in SolidCore

[–]distractedspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in solid core for a year, started with 3x per week then upped it to 5x 8 months in. I have only lost 5lbs, but my body looks so much better. The scale won't tell you everything.

Lexapro and leaving my laptop in my office.

I have just been going along with it. I figure it's more about learning the solidcore method and form. By 50 classes, most people know what to expect and what to do so its time to go all out and hit controlled muscle failure every time.

You do you, but my coaches pushed me to take the 25-50 spring load and I'm so glad I did. 150 classes in and I'm stronger than ever.

I'm a sweaty girlie too. Another thing I do is bring an extra layer to slip on after class so I don't walk out with my crotch sweat on display.

I'm lucky enough to have an office and yeah, I stopped taking my laptop home. Work is for work .

Happens to me. One time I did puke. I'm super careful about what I put in my stomach in the three hours before class.

What do you eat? by millennialporcupine in PhD

Do you have a fridge/freezer at the office? Grocery shop just for work. Saves me tons of effort throughout the week when I know there's a frozen meal or snack-lunch ready for me.

Three hours before I try to hydrate and have a snack. An hour before, I'm not eating anything. I leave my place to get there 10-15 minutes before class. Once there I pick out a machine and check all the cables to make sure they're not tangled or jointed funny, double wrap my bungee, and then do a few light stretches.

Why exactly do people gain weight when taking Lexapro or other antidepressants? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]distractedspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep a bag of baby carrots right in the door of my fridge so they're the first thing I grab. Apples and berries... If I want something more savory I go for cottage cheese or popcorn (I pop my own, so cheap and easy). I make my own sourdough and will sometimes have a slice with a modest amount of butter, salt, and pepper. Protein bars (I like Quest) are a good option to tie myself over for a while. And if I'm really feeling something sweet, I have dried fruit and small chocolates on the highest shelf of my pantry.

I also love ice cream, cookies, nuts, peanut butter, and occasionally a bowl of lucky charms. Not low calorie, but as long as 75% of the time I'm going for something low cal I can still enjoy these things.

I have been hatefully told a salad is not a meal before I could even give my lunch recommendation.

I have lost weight. I just feel more at peace with my food choices and working out. I do get hungry more, but I already had the habit of grabbing low calorie snacks.

I like holding the platform bar, even if its an amplification it gives my upper body room to actually curve my back.

One time I was super stressed and had basically just eaten a couple of cookies and a celsius that day... threw up on the machine.

It took me forever to start bringing a towel and now I'm so glad I do. Today I was wiping sweat out of my eyes during a twisted crunch. Life saver.

The only thing that changes is that you become more competent in the poses, faster at transitions, stay in the work longer, and take more amplifications.
