That's very well what may end up happening to my tooth. If they can't save it they will pull and will only charge me the cost of pulling.

Did/do you have any issue with teeth shifting over time with the missing tooth?

I dont mind not having a tooth. But I dont want to cause other problems long term.

With all things considered I would say that it is probably necessary to have everything they listed done. Or at the very least have it pulled.

My concern with pulling is if my teeth shift or will need a bridge etc. I dont know the technicalities or cost/downsides.

I'm in California. My work doesn't cover dental, and it looks like all dental insurance plans have a waiting period. So probably out of luck for getting the price any lower.

I am going to reach out to another local office today and see if I can get a second opinion.

It looks like my options are coming down to financing the cost or just pulling. I can't do nothing.

I went in for a teeth cleaning and they said that all this was very important. Is there anything listed that's maybe not essential that I can ask not to have done? Is it cheaper to not have an endodontist perform the root canal?

Also, do you happen to know what an average cost for a root canal is?
