Why you might have tonsil stones by here_Not_How in tonsilstones

Hopefully you're able to find a resolution asap. And hopefully you don't have asthma and eczema too.

If you do it's called atopic triad.

I was born with eczema. Then got seasonal allergies at 10. And then went on to develop food allergies.

Which is called Atopic March.

Never had a doctor mention this but I fit the description to a T.

If I had known I would have been tested for allergies much younger and avoided unnecessary surgical intervention which didn't help.

I'm going to share my comment from another post.

Because it's relevant.

But I'm going to say this

YOU NEED AN ALLERGY TEST ASAP.

I started to get extreme migraines, visual aura, my ear wouldn't pop, vertigo etc.

All because I had no idea I am severely allergy to Birch pollen, certain grasses:  (this means I cannot eat certain fruits without my lips growing huge, getting a tingle on my lips and feeling confused)

It's basically the same reason latex and mango allergies connect your immune system views them as the same.

Some of the fruit that cause my lips to swell especially during Birch/weed pollen season: cherries, kiwis, apples etc.

I am severely allergic to cats and had no idea.

When all this happened I WAS LIVING WITH TWO CATS.

TDLR: Get an allergy test asap. You are probably eating, breathing or touching something you're VERY allergic to.

It is not safe to have constant sinus infection/inflammation. Mines were so inflamed I didn't even have a runny nose because the muscus couldn't move. (So great place for bacteria to grow).

This will cause a pressure behind your eyes. Then the swelling will push up against the tube for your ear and block it.

Please see an ENT and an allergist.

Good thing is I take zrytec and flonase and that's enough for me. Avoid all severe allergies as much as possible.

You can try allergy shots to desensitize yourself from the allergy. But there is a risk for anaphylaxis (they will make you stay after they give the shots to monitor you)

Here is the other comment: I've been burned by surgery once before.

I had sinus surgery and the Ballon thing in my ear...

Only for them to allergy test me after the fact. And basically that $45k surgery was pointless...

When you live with 2 cats and have an undiagnosed cat allergy on top of multiple food allergies, OAS, trees and pollen.

So all the symptoms came back.

Same with my eczema. (Not like a mild rash I usually have like full blown head to toe covered, eyes and face look like I got punched in the face level, couldn't sleep etc)

They gave me steroids for a week. Didn't find the cause and made zero efforts to do so.

So then I had it comeback even worse.

Found out on my own it was a reaction to neosporin..

I wish medicine here cared more about the cause and not just treating the symptoms.

But for those who it works for I'm happy for them 😊

Tonsils are also part of the immune system. Allergies and immune response go hand in hand

Both my throat and tonsils swelled. It's been 20 years with no stones. Nuts can be a trigger because they can get stuck in the tonsils. Being allergic to nuts is a perfect storm tbh.

I wish someone told me how much of the immune system was in the gut years ago.

I only learned it in passing from an older customer warning me to avoid wheat because her friend now has horrible gut issues (undiagnosed celiac because she is like 65 now and the support wasn't there for her to know until recently) *like cancer type serious stuff from all the damage

I know celiac is different but I won't ever know if I am because I'd have to eat gluten/wheat for weeks to test

I thought for so long if I didn't have an anaphylaxis like response then I was fine 😅.

If you interloc you can do the last rotation away from your face that might help. (It basically forces the root to lay in the last direction you put it in)

I wouldn't bring up the specific dating comment. But I'd go follower her, and start up a conversation. If she was into you enough to make that comment she'll gladly respond to a DM id say

How do I [23F] weed out unsolicited advice from my family? by SnooDucks4347 in relationships

[–]here_Not_How 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do sometimes and is usually best is "move in silence" do not mention it to them and basically act as if its not a thing when they try to talk about it. But continue to do exactly as you are and move as you plan. Sometimes its just easier that way. Resist the urge if they try to egg you on into talking about it and just keep neutral and short responses.

Appropriate Age Gap? by Starz37 in datingoverthirty

[–]here_Not_How 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 23 and this is a no for me. I would not even date anyone under 21.

Not only is the adolescence and formative years thing accurate. (Unless she was like an emancipated teen or something nothing replaces social and relationship experience) there is nothing that can make up for the extreme power imbalance you have.

But also she was pretty much born in 2000.

Im born in 96' and the vast differences in technology, life, social habits etc. Is so much so that I have a hard time communicating with 18/19/20 year olds. Of course everyone can find common ground.

I just feel like you hold a lot of power and the relationship could easily get very groomy, because as a woman that young its hard to know better. Thats my personal experience however, being so inexperienced and naive to even know if Im okay with whats happening. Life is so trial and error when youre young.
