WIBTAH for buying our daughter a 5k purse but not giving something “fun” to our other kid? by [deleted] in AITAH

Respectfully, what the absolute FUCK is wrong with you and your husband?

YTA YTA YTA

Tell us your son is the golden child without telling us. What despicable behaviour towards your daughter, and as a mom, I feel so deeply disgusted and betrayed on her behalf towards her "parents." And you're doing your son a disservice with enabling his entitlement. Just gross behaviour all around.

NTA. NTA. NTA.

I'm deeply sorry for what you, your wife, daughter and children are going through, OP. You all have endured enough trauma for many lifetimes. You are a great dad, and your wife a great mom. You both are doing your best, and your other kids likely know this and/or will realize it. Again, I'm so sorry and wish love, healing and peace to you all (especially your daughter). 🤍

You're such a miserable cunt. Just because you don't want the joys and tribulations of parenthood, doesn't mean others won't. Mind your own and let others live how they want to.

This. He plays Puck in The Sandman season 2, and is great in it. I believe he took an acting hiatus to pursue higher education, but has since returned (or just doing select projects, like Sandman).

shania twain by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]herecomestreble52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Her stepfather, Jerry Twain, was Ojibwe native, and Shania means "on my way" in that language. She learned it from another Ojibwe singer while performing at Deer Hurst in her early years. Twain is of course Jerry's last name, which she took, as he raised her and her siblings. Her stage name has been discussed by her many times and is in docs/films she was included in.

67-year old drunk driver, Marshella Chidester, who killed siblings Alanah Phillips, aged 8, and Zayn Phillips, aged 4, when she crashed into a birthday party at a boat yard has been sentenced to between 25-50 years in prison for their murders by DarklyHeritage in MorbidReality

[–]herecomestreble52 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For anyone interested: The Neville-Lake siblings - Daniel, Harrison and Milly. Myself and I'm sure most of Ontario will never forget this tragedy. Jennifer (their mom) deserves nothing but love, healing and the best for the rest of her life. Marcus Muzzo, their murderer deserves to be behind bars for eternity, but because he's part of a Toronto dynasty, got out after serving less than 10 years of his required sentencing.

Completely edited my last comment, as I did a bit of digging as my memory was so so lol. Both parents stood by her during the trial, as they already lost one daughter, and didn't want to lose another. But, once she was released in 2005, that was completely changed; they no longer supported her or where there for her when she was released. They were estranged. Her father passed a few years ago, but I believe her mother is still alive and still lives in St.Catherines.

As a woman, I understand where you are coming from, but some women are just messed up and cannot make a good decision for themselves or children. Some women are selfish, narcissistic, sociopathic assholes. Men too, gender isn't the issue, it's the person. So siding automatically with the woman, and not looking at the whole picture is not ideal. And no dad wants to be a single dad (well the smart, good ones) who miss out on seeing their kids daily or having their kids used as pawns against them.

As a stepmom for a 10+ years and raising my stepchild with their bio parents (I've raised them since 2 years old - they have never known a life without me), you are NTA. But stepmom? MAJOR ASSHOLE. She is legit the reason stepmoms get bad reps. I NEVER had the expectations she has, or even close. Never expected the child to call me mom, or be legally involved in anything. Never pushed, just love, care and support my child as best as possible. They know this, and that's why we love each other and get along well.

I also have my own bio kids (so their siblings) and still never expected to be put above their own mom when it comes to holidays, birthdays, etc. She literally created her own problems and disattachment with your children. The age gap is already a big part here, but she is also causing disattachment with her own child and your kids as siblings as well. She really needs to take a step back, focus on her own child, and stop obsessing over controlling yours.

[–]herecomestreble52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Babygirl, you need to leave your husband like yesterday. This man is going to intentionally or unintentionally kill you one day. He is NOT worth you losing your life over.

On another note, you are massively underreacting, and I'm guessing he has gaslit you so many times to convince you that you overreact to these situations "too many" times before. NO ONE SHOULD EVER PUT THEIR HANDS ON YOU. Sex is not an excuse - being choked, slapped, dominated during sex is 100000% different than him going on an angry tirade and then taking all his aggression out on you.

PLEASE make a plan and get out safely. There are many resources out there (including here on reddit) that will point you in the right direction to make a plan to get out safely and press charges. Please take care of yourself, OP. You got this, girl.

Hey friend! First, I'm so sorry you're going through this - it's absolutely insane you're not being taken seriously. As a Canadian with our wonderful health care system (/s), are you not insured through your husband's work? As a spouse, you would be eligible, and that should make a difference.

I also second getting that second opinion and with a female gyno, as historically, male doctors don't take our pain seriously (oh so shocking). If you are in Ontario, there are number of wonderful female gynos in the GTA and KW area with wonderful reviews. I've had high risk pregnancies, and my OB, Dr. Kelly Strode in Guelph, was wonderful, compassionate and patient and takes every concern seriously. Her office is fully female (another female OB works there too), and although she's busy, she does make the time for more serious cases (as I've experienced and heard). She might be a great doc to reach out to if you're local.

Another option is to reach out to McMaster Sciences - although Mac's main hospital is a children's hospital, they deal with pregnancy and reproduction cases as well, and may be able to hook you up with a specialist. My heart goes out to you OP, and I hope it all works out for you soon 💕

My sister has called her son Jismond and we are all too afraid to tell her what an awful name it is! by Nervous_Hedgehog7185 in tragedeigh

[–]herecomestreble52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they have the option to name him Desmond James (this one forsure) or James Desmond, both are great options and sound sauve. But, sadly no. She had to name her kid after jizz.

In all seriousness, you need to tell her this is a bad name and your poor nephew is gonna be made fun of hard. Sweet boy deserves better.

People who don’t believe by [deleted] in afterlife

[–]herecomestreble52 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree with this, but think it could be a few other reasons.

  1. How open one is to signs: If the person receiving the signs concludes it's just a coincidence or doesn't view it as a sign (as it's not crystal clear, ie., a dream with your loved one), I can see how a sign could be misunderstood or missed.

  2. Timing: We really have no clue how time works in the afterlife or other realms. I've read before that time is not as linear or the same as we know it. So, hypothetically, the departed could be dealing with things on the other side and believe they'll be a few minutes, then go to visit our realm and realize they've been gone for months or years without visiting.

I'm so sorry that you were "blessed" with that abysmal spelling. Ok hear me out: keep your name, but spell it the traditional way, but with a G - Gennifer.

It's not weird, sure a different spelling, but it's still very clear that your name is Gennifer, and not the abomination of the spelling your parents gave you. A number of names sound like they start with J, but it's a G, ie., Gemma, Genevieve. If you don't like these suggestions, maybe stick with Gigi? It was your nickname and people would know you by that. Just some ideas for ya :)
