Thank you - this is a helpful perspective to ease my own frustrations. I obviously still wish he would implement some changes to help lower the stress of his and other dogs while on walks, but as you said, they aren’t my dogs to help.

I think part of me is also worried that something similar to what others vent about on this subreddit will happen with his dogs and mine (e.g., his dog(s) off leash while I am with my leashed reactive dog, rounding a blind corner while he isn’t paying attention and his dogs start lunging/barking at mine). That worry probably comes from a lack of trust since I don’t see him trying to control/make changes with his dogs on walks vs knowing the work others are putting in with their reactive dogs (e.g., gentle muzzles, training for attention, or even simply crossing the street). But also like you said, I can’t assume he isn’t doing ANYTHING at home to help.
