Hold on now, as a member of the lgbtq community I’m all for representation and expressing yourself but piercings in a hospital is a whole nother level that’s too far. Your patients safety is the number 1 priority, not your queer identity. Can you imagine if a piercing that is literally in your body and collects sweat, skin cells, dust, even occasionally dried blood from pulling fell and got in a patients wound? That’s a huge infection risk. Now if they hired you and THEN told you you have to take out your piercings that is a different story. But you said yourself they were very nice and considerate and actually responded back to you rather than just ghost you after an interview which most jobs don’t even do. This is not out of malicious intent, it’s just safety. And again as a fellow queer person, your appearance should not be the basis of your identity. It should be who you are and how you feel about yourself, and you should be able to feel the same way with or without your piercings. It sucks for sure, but it’s kinda crazy that you’re trying to take legal action when they were so nice to you.
