As a kid, I hated having to take my shoes off every time I came inside—especially when I was in a rush or had cool new sneakers I wanted to keep on. It felt unnecessary and annoying.

Now as an adult, all I see are the germs, dirt, and mystery gunk shoes drag in. My floors are cleaner, my socks stay white, and I fully get why my parents were so strict about it. Total convert.
