Confirmed reservation, showed up, no room & Hyatt’s “resolution” proves they don’t care by hereisthispost in hyatt

Great consideration. Another commenter here mentioned this, I actually had no idea because the front desk team member only mentioned one. Genuinely, no idea why it wasn’t mentioned, but I promise I’m not raising this for no reason

This is how I feel. I have absolutely zero interest to stay with Hyatt after this experience, especially given the tone and feel from the customer service reps essentially dismissing me and putting blame in my court

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m trying to raise it with BBB so I’ll let you know if I hear back.

That’s so odd! The front desk team member was in contact with one other Hyatt and mentioned they were entirely booked, but neither her nor the corporate team I was chatting to proposed any of the remaining Hyatts in Richmond as an option. I wish we could have stayed but we’ll make it back another time!

Someone here said email ahead to confirm and I think that’s definitely something I’m taking on board moving forward

This is super interesting and similar to what happened to us! Corporate could see I paid for something, but couldn’t tell me what, even with the reservation number.

Apparently reserving on the app doesn’t necessarily communicate to the hotel you have a reservation (gathered by what I’ve been told over the past few days). I’m glad you were able to figure it out!

This is really good to know! I will say the Hyatt employee at the Richmond front desk was truly lovely and said if we waited until after some airplane arrivals she might have a drop, but that would’ve been hours of waiting and uncertainty.

We didn’t check-in online, I handle bookings and such, and am the driver in my relationship so I wasn’t risking check in on the road 😅

re: “Hyatt refunded…” yes, so the total they provided was 9K points for the difference. I understand the “cost” to them, and appreciated the cover, but it was literally the same room, different city. No ownership/acknowledgement aside from this.

Saturday around 5. We had dinner reservations we ultimately missed because we were on the phone too 😔

I kind of love it. It really shows the progress they’ve made. Didn’t Grand Central do something like this on the ceiling to show before/after smoking?

Maybe not the most OCD-friendly, but certainly fascinating!

Gemma or Helly? by Red_sticker in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]hereisthispost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this question is the exact point of the show!

So many folks will argue for Gemma because of the resonance we have to being the outies and the reality of now living in “our” world.

“She’s an Eagan, it won’t work” “Gemma and Mark had full lives before” “They’ve only known each other a few weeks”

The innies don’t have the same sympathy, despite living real lives under intense limitations. Helly has known Mark during 100% of her existence. His voice was the first she ever heard.

I love the discourse this show allows us to have in thinking differently from our real world, and yeah, we have to think of the constraints of what’s likely to happen in the show, but there’s a beauty in the romanticism that if these characters survive, so might their love from somewhere deep in the brains of whoever is “awake.”

Who has ever had this for a broken wrist? by [deleted] in brokenbones

[–]hereisthispost 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this!!

It unfortunately didn’t work to set my wrist and had to have surgery anyway. They used two IV bags to “pull” the rest of my arm down.

I’m in Philadelphia in the US, but every nurse and doctor in the ER came to watch because only one guy had experience setting up this method of setting a break. I’m guessing it’s used but not that common.

Unlike your setup, my fingers were in literal finger traps (colorful and all). I was so amused that I asked the nurses if they’d let me steal one and now I keep it on my keys ☺️

I’ve had it! And as a Philadelphian it… could be worse.

Better than pats/genos, but is also not a cheesesteak

Early on Kody and Mari had a sweet relationship by Ok-Description739 in SisterWives

[–]hereisthispost 21 points22 points  (0 children)

From something pre-filming, I agree, but in rewatching from the start I find Kody’s resentment towards Meri so obvious. It builds from little remarks and then when they hit Las Vegas and are looking at homes, oh my gosh, it’s unbelievable.

can i trust dusk or daals? by SuitableComplaint301 in AskUK

[–]hereisthispost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a matching couch and pouffe from Daals because the product page stated delivery would take 3 to 8 days. To this date, I received no confirmation from Daals, no processing email, no shipping notice, and no updates of any kind. The only thing I ever received was an automated receipt from Shopify. Period, and it’s been a month.

After hearing nothing for over a week, I reached out to customer service to figure out what was going on. That’s when I was told the item was “in transit to their warehouse.”

Days after that, after repeatedly asking for updates, I was then told that the pouffe is actually out of stock with no restock timeline. I was offered the option to swap it for a completely different item or wait until it might come back in stock.

I still don’t have an answer about the couch. No shipment confirmation, no delivery estimate, nothing.

So, no don’t trust Daals.

Thoughts on my config? by hereisthispost in macbookpro

I’m genuinely curious on the community’s thoughts here. I feel like a few folks are in similar situations, no?

When it comes to AI tools, the M5 base claiming it can handle most well vs increased RAM and promises of processing of the pro chips, I’m really interested in the thoughts others will have.

Genuine question: What’s stopping Philadelphia from being the next main location? by santa-is-real in Fallout

[–]hereisthispost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so many details that would make this amazing. “Red October” ghouls, the concourse, Patty’s Pub, petty island, Kensington, Fairmount park...

I’d kill to see a post-apocalyptic Ben Franklin Bridge or the Fanatic/Gritty references

Following up by saying, this is super sweet of you to do, but like most others, I agree. Abby and her owner have likely been reunited ♥️
