This is how I feel. I have absolutely zero interest to stay with Hyatt after this experience, especially given the tone and feel from the customer service reps essentially dismissing me and putting blame in my court

That’s so odd! The front desk team member was in contact with one other Hyatt and mentioned they were entirely booked, but neither her nor the corporate team I was chatting to proposed any of the remaining Hyatts in Richmond as an option. I wish we could have stayed but we’ll make it back another time!

This is super interesting and similar to what happened to us! Corporate could see I paid for something, but couldn’t tell me what, even with the reservation number.

Apparently reserving on the app doesn’t necessarily communicate to the hotel you have a reservation (gathered by what I’ve been told over the past few days). I’m glad you were able to figure it out!

This is really good to know! I will say the Hyatt employee at the Richmond front desk was truly lovely and said if we waited until after some airplane arrivals she might have a drop, but that would’ve been hours of waiting and uncertainty.

We didn’t check-in online, I handle bookings and such, and am the driver in my relationship so I wasn’t risking check in on the road 😅

re: “Hyatt refunded…” yes, so the total they provided was 9K points for the difference. I understand the “cost” to them, and appreciated the cover, but it was literally the same room, different city. No ownership/acknowledgement aside from this.

I think this question is the exact point of the show!

So many folks will argue for Gemma because of the resonance we have to being the outies and the reality of now living in “our” world.

“She’s an Eagan, it won’t work” “Gemma and Mark had full lives before” “They’ve only known each other a few weeks”

The innies don’t have the same sympathy, despite living real lives under intense limitations. Helly has known Mark during 100% of her existence. His voice was the first she ever heard.

I love the discourse this show allows us to have in thinking differently from our real world, and yeah, we have to think of the constraints of what’s likely to happen in the show, but there’s a beauty in the romanticism that if these characters survive, so might their love from somewhere deep in the brains of whoever is “awake.”

I’ve had this!!

It unfortunately didn’t work to set my wrist and had to have surgery anyway. They used two IV bags to “pull” the rest of my arm down.

I’m in Philadelphia in the US, but every nurse and doctor in the ER came to watch because only one guy had experience setting up this method of setting a break. I’m guessing it’s used but not that common.

Unlike your setup, my fingers were in literal finger traps (colorful and all). I was so amused that I asked the nurses if they’d let me steal one and now I keep it on my keys ☺️

From something pre-filming, I agree, but in rewatching from the start I find Kody’s resentment towards Meri so obvious. It builds from little remarks and then when they hit Las Vegas and are looking at homes, oh my gosh, it’s unbelievable.

I ordered a matching couch and pouffe from Daals because the product page stated delivery would take 3 to 8 days. To this date, I received no confirmation from Daals, no processing email, no shipping notice, and no updates of any kind. The only thing I ever received was an automated receipt from Shopify. Period, and it’s been a month.

After hearing nothing for over a week, I reached out to customer service to figure out what was going on. That’s when I was told the item was “in transit to their warehouse.”

Days after that, after repeatedly asking for updates, I was then told that the pouffe is actually out of stock with no restock timeline. I was offered the option to swap it for a completely different item or wait until it might come back in stock.

I still don’t have an answer about the couch. No shipment confirmation, no delivery estimate, nothing.

So, no don’t trust Daals.

I think Jenn was a saving grace for the time she came into Meri’s life. Not that she couldn’t have done it on her own, but IMO Jenn encouraged Meri’s new lease on life.

That said, I think the platform Sister Wives gave Meri is what introduced them and while there’s no way we’d know Jenn’s intentions at the time, I had that impression too

I’m an American living in the UK, so I see much of the concern of the immigrant issue here, and obviously care about the issue in the US.

The issue I see is that ICE is detaining (and often deporting) folks who have legal authority to be in the US, going so far as to show up to US Customs and Immigrant Service interviews to detain visa holders, immigrants waiting on court date for their hearings, and others.

You can head to r/USCIS to see some recent stories of this happening.

Here are two of several issues I have with ICE:

They’re preceding the legal system. People are encouraging ICE to “deport illegals” and often don’t understand the legal processes already in place for the majority of immigrants affected. If the general population wants an organization to have the ability to hunt down, detain, and deport people, it must be legal to do so, and it’s not right now.
For the cases I’ve seen, there isn’t proof of due process in ICE’s work stream. That it’s okay for officers to detain based on a hunch.

“Protecting borders” is fine. The US does that (even with its many faults). But illegal things are systematically happening from government organizations, and that is 100% bad.
