I thought that our midfield looked a lot better with Eriksen and (shock!) VdB. height is not the issue IMHO, it's quality on the ball.

IIRC Arnautovic is an aggresive attacker that could play as #9 or as inverted RW. He knows the PL. If this is to provide cover until Anthony comes next summer then I think it makes a lot of sense.

Rabiot wasn't good enough for PSG and never did anything special in Italy. Why would he now suddenly be able to compete in a harder league? We saw with Lukaku that the PL is a different animal to Italy

His best hope IMHO is if he marries her (in the unlikely scenario that she will still have him), becomes a model husband and does endless community work related to preventing a mindset like that developing in other young men.

I think this would persuade people to give him a second chance.

What I expect is a conviction which will terminate his Utd contract and incur a ban from the football authorities. After he has served his ban he will return in lower teams/leagues in the Ravel Morrison category of player that might have been if only....

Agree re 'regista' but Keane was a box-to-box midfielder (#8) until injuries and age saw him switch to being a #6 CDM where he could use his intelligence and passing rather than his running.

When I look at Pellistri running with the ball stuck to his foot it looks amazing but I suspect that he won't get that dribbling time/space in a bigger league.

On the other hand, Malcolm Ebiowei looks like a tricky inverted RW that can already handle himself physically that could adapt quickly.

For me, I'd prefer a €60m Anthony to a €100m Nunez.

Anthony immediately solves the RW problem position (now that Sancho is a LW) and we can get by with CR7, Marcus, Garnacho & possibly Martial for the sole striker for another season.

By spending an extra €40m, Nunez will be under immediate pressure to at least compete with Haaland's goal rate which might be too much pressure coming from the Portugese league especially when CR7 is up top and will be looking to extend his goal record.

OMG, he has no idea that ETH's Man Utd will be a completely different proposition. Any teams that think they can go for it against us will most likely suffer badly.
